Publisher's summary

Like it or not, Hillary Clinton is almost assuredly going to run for president in 2008. It doesn't matter that her negative poll numbers are high or that her past 15 years in the public eye have been anything but smooth. Since she was a little girl she has dreamed about becoming the first female president, and now that dream is well within reach.

Esteemed journalist and New York Times best-selling author Edward Klein reveals the truth about a woman who has managed to keep much of her life private. Drawing from inside sources, Klein reveals the reality of Hillary's turbulent marriage and exposes what she and Bill have done behind closed doors. He also proves that Hillary lied to America, even in her enormously successful Living History autobiography.

The Truth Hurts

Liberal and Clinton lovers hate anything that exposes this very disturbed and power hungry disfunctional family. Hillary is no doubt a smart lady but she is also a disturbing and dangerous woman with an agenda of both revenge and hate.
What make her so dangerous is her ability to lie and really convince herself and the world she is telling her hearts truth.
This book should be read by all who vote and can finally stop this disgraceful family of misanthropes...

Hillery Rotten Clinton

The overall story is engaging and full of juicy and gossipy details of interest to a Clinton loathing Republican like myself. But perhaps it's just as well that Mr. Klein has found other narrators for his subsequent books. I am an aspiring voiceover artist and hope to be able to narrate audiobooks myself someday. Mr. Klein doesn't appear to have good performance control. His constant inhalations of breath and audibly swallowing into the microphone are an unwelcome distraction to what is otherwise a gripping story.

Well done

This book seems to expose some of the behind the scenes interactions and truths that the Clintons so desperately try and conceal from the American public. It answers the question of what she actually stands for besides socialism and income re-distribution. Hopefully more people read this so voters can make an educated decision on whom to elect in 2008.

Hilary's past tells all

Eye opening and well written. Too bad the author felt he must raise some very personal details of the Clinton's. Very factual and well supported. Author isn't a right winger, but a former NY Times editor and has his facts in line.

Right down party lines

I've always found Hillary Clinton to be an incredibly polarizing figure. You either love her or hate her. It should be fairly obvious from the reviews written here who's a Hillary fan and who isn't.

I thought the author did a pretty good job of shedding some light on the drive and ambition that Mrs. Clinton has posessed since childhood.

On the one hand it's an amazing testament to her because of what she has achieved, but it is also sad when you consider her win-at-all-costs attitude gets in the way of telling the truth on subjects like Whitewater to staying in a loveless marriage with a spouse incapable of fidelity because he just happens to be the President of the United States.

I realize that's a loaded statement full of my own personal opinion, but in the end, I don't think this book will change your opinion of Sen. Clinton. It will only reinforce what you already believe about her.

The Truth About Hillary

Objective not subjective reading. An insight into Hilary from a person who has no political agenda, it is so refreshing. The people who love Hilary will swear its a right wing smear campaign but I could find nothing that would lead me to believe this.

No real surprises here...

This book is provides a good summary of what we already know about the Clintons. There isn't much new stuff here. It did, however, hold my attention, (unlike many of the reviewers here, I actually listened to the book). This book is being supressed by the media. Read it and tell your friends. They certainly won't hear about it on the Today Show.

The author narrates this book. I didn't care too much for his narration skills but he gave it a great effort. The book is short and "to the point" which is why it is being presented unabridged. There simply wasn't much text that could have been subtracted. A fast read.

One of the worst I have read. Full of inuendo and alegations, very few facts. don't waste your time.

The Truth the World should know.

The book is hard to digest, but so too is the awful truth. The book will not change any minds as most of America has already decided one way or the other. For historical purposes, however, this book should be required reading for school children, in ethics classes, and for tyrants. God help America if fails to learn the lessons taught in this book.

Disgusting

Seems like the anti-Clinton bigots never give up on their personal attacks. While the claim is made that the author is objective based on his former affiliation with the allegedly liberal New York Times, the facts are that this project was sponsored by many of the same people who attacked Bill Clinton throughout his presidency and who later helped the anti-American Swift Boat veterans try to disgrace John Kerry after he won two purple hearts in Viet Nam--in a war dodged by both our current Vice-President and President. Come on, Americans, wake up!
