A hoot for tattoo
First I have to say that I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I love travel writing but a lot of the time it can sound...rehearsed. Tatoo: Journeys on my mind is just the opposite. I loved how the story jumped from place to place and that the author was reading her own work. It gave an authentic feel to the whole thing. On top of that she is witty, fun to listen to, and has a great cadence to her voice. I particularly liked the sections about India and Alaska. The only problems I had were that the transitioning sounds at the chapters were very loud and there was some background noise at time. Overall this was a highly enjoyable listen and I will definitely listen to it again.

What a Fun Mid-Life Crisis
Tatoo: Journeys on My Mind was a fun and enlightening listen. I enjoyed hearing about Tina Marie's journeys, and it was even narrated by her as well. If this was a mid-life crisis, it was an adventurous one. It would be a blast to travel and visit these awesome places during life's prime. I did cringe a little at the ear cleaning in Viet Nam.
I liked the music in between the chapters. It was folksy and pleasant. I also liked that she narrated her own book. She had a nice voice and she told her own story. The audio quality wasn't perfect, there were a few highs and lows but it didn't take away from this being a nice listen. I still think it was worthy of five stars straight across.
