With all those adventures and responsibilities, he's also recognized as the man who built and nurtured a once-in-a-generation talent roster that took the WWE to new heights, including "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Brock Lesnar, and The Rock, to name a few. But this isn't just a wrestling story. this man's life is joyfully and painfully real, from the time he was seeing cows moonwalking outside of his hotel room, through all the pain and misfortune and love, he graduated a true champion and is truely a legend of his own way (the John Wayne way).

I loved hearing about the life of Jim Ross and what he has done during his life on wrestling and announcing. Hearing stories from one who has been there and done that is a real joy. I have always been a fan of wrestling and all those who are a part of it. Than you Jim for sharing with us the public and your fans.

I absolutely loved the storytelling by good 'ol JR. As a big fan of his podcast on PodcastOne I could listen to Jim Ross talk about anything. This is one of the wrestling books I've been waiting for. As a big fan of Mick Foley's books, this book did not disappoint.

Great wrestling book

This is a really great book if you are a fan of Jim or just a fan of wrestling in general. Lots of great stories about his time in Mid-South, WCW and WWF. The Mid-South period is the highlight of the book in my opinion. Lots of new stories and great information. I’d highly recommend this book even if you haven’t been a fan of some of JR’s recent work.

I have listened to this book twice and enjoyed more the second time around. The stories that JR tells really take me back to being a kid watching Mid South and Memphis wrestling in the 1980’s. I have no doubt that I will listen to this book a third time around. Thanks for putting your story out for our enjoyment. Another book that is along the same line as this book is Terry Funk’s More than just Hardcore.

a great man with a great voice

I actually had the pleasure of meeting good old Jr at a book signing and got my copy autographed. however as life progressed I didn't get a chance to actually read the book so I figured I'd give this a try. nobody could tell Jr story better than him.

The book is amazing.

I loved Jr as a commentator the story is great. Couldn't have been happier with the way that I spent this credit. Jr's story was as cool and wondering as I figured it would be.
