I love that the author took such care in selecting the words she used to describe each role in the nightmare of human trafficking. This subject must be brought out of the shadows and into the light, for hidden crises are rarely addressed appropriately. Ms. Ruston, I praise your courage and thank you for the enlightenment. I will find a way to be part of the solution.
Every moment of this book was absolutely heartbreaking, the life that the author has led is unimaginable.
The end....without giving it away...equally unbelievable
The human spirit....what a person can live through and still keep going....this story is the perfect example.
If you think you have it tough, pick up this book.
Well read and written!!
Enjoyed the book, although that seems the wrong description under the circumstances of poor Anna's ordeal
.A very strong and brave lady.Although I think that her age was refered to wrongky a couple of times in chapter 26. When Sally was going to the market, Anna refers to herself as a Twenty year old woman which of course she couldn't have been if she was 15 when she was taken and escapedv13 years later. And I think there was another reference in the same chapter.
Not that this affects the impact of the story in any way, just thought I would mention it in case the editor was not aware of the mistake.
