Everyone needs to listen to this

Im so glad i listened to this. I am a white, heterosexual, married, middle class women w a daughter and grandson. In other words im what society accepts as "normal". It is people like me that need to hear Parker pain, empathize, not only support but take action. By speaking to friends, family, co wker and, acquaintances about the plight of a transgender individual.

Wonderful book

It amazes me how different our journey's are! But the dysphoria is always the same. And there is really only one cure for us. Ms Molloy does a great job explaining that dysphoria we all feel. And the steps we have to take to feel whole as a human. Thank you for writing your story, and putting in words the incredible struggles we have to endure every day.

Wonderful if Brief

Very emotive, deeply personal, and while it is short to short (more of an essay in story form than anything else) I would argue this suits the content. Its not very thorough though, and focuses largely on Parker's relationships.

As someone currently undergoing a very simmilar transiton - from masculinity into womanhood, hearing this perspective from the author herself is very comforting. It's nice to know someone has been through it all and is still fighting, it makes one feel less alone in the world.

I would advise this to anyone interested in the topic; its short and an intersting window into a troubled life. It won't drench you in anything biological, densly philosophical, or artistically pretentious, but it will give you one perspective, if nothing else, feels honest.
