A bit dry and more chronological than with a storyline. Interesting true story just not riveting.
This is not an interesting tale or a book with any structure. It’s a boring account, without much detail, of a POW experience. There are a few anecdotes, but much of the story is coloured by the author’s clear and continued loathing of the Japanese and his endorsement of the use of atomic weapons. He also makes it clear he thinks force is the only way to solve problems.
There must be better and more rounded accounts than this. Do not read this book.
