This Unauthorized Biography was very Investigative In it’s entirety. But as it goes and goes he speaks of her Family Tree. Then in the second half of this Unauthorized Biography he gets real, and I use that word loosely. Only because after reading Madonna’s Brothers Book;Living with my Sister Madonna! Christopher didn’t go into such detail of how Madonna achieved her Fame & Fortunes? But Andrew was definitely on point about a lot of the Myths Madonna has and still sticks to when questioned about her rise to Fame! No she didn’t just jump on a Bus in Pontiac Michigan & End up in NYC with only 30.00 dollars in her wallet and subsequently got into a cab and told the driver, take me to where Everything is, and he dropped her off in the middle of Times Square! That was home of her myths. In Christopher’s book he states that when Madonna dropped out of College, that she went to her Father and asked him now that she had finished all the College she thought she needed only having a Associates Degree in Liberal Arts and a minor in Classically Trained Modern,Tap,and Ballet. With Honers and being on the Honor Roll since she started School in Elementary, Junior High,and High School! Yes she’s a very Intelligent Woman and always has been, her entire Life! Graduating with Honors in all her Educational Institutions! She also received Paid For College for her Academic Achievements! She also not only had a College Fund to pursue her Education, but she also had a College Fund From her Father in which she chose the Trust Fund Money instead of furthering her Education! She already knew what she wanted and it was very clear to the Ciccone Family; her (Father) wasn’t excited about her choice of only getting a Associates Degree but it was Enough for her to have gotten Educational Vouchers From Michigan State University & Father Ciccone’s Trust Fund he had been saving for all his Children that showed him they’re College Material and wanted to further their Education! According to Christopher cause I really got from his writing about his Sister; that he wanted to be just like her and so as he did he also took Modern Dance in College and even took lessons from Madonna’s Private Dance Instructor! That’s when Christopher was really learning at that time of their lives that he too were a Homosexual which he had suppressed from his Family especially their Father. Due to their strict Catholic upbringing! He first told Madonna before telling anyone else in that large Family they’d grew up in. Eventually telling his Father when he’d already suspected that his son was? But in Christopher’s Book he didn’t go into such detail of Madonna’s Life in NYC; only because Christopher already knew that they had Family that at that time of the late 70,s lived in NYC? And Madonna’s Father had already made arrangements with them allowing her to stay with them for the time she was to arrive to the time she was able to get a job and get in to the Alvin Aielly Studio of Dance for which she had a College Honor Voucher for which she received for her Outstanding Status of being an Honor Roll Student, and then there was the Money Father Ciccone saved you for her to pursue her Higher Education with. In which she didn’t she didn’t start the Alvin Dance Studio until she saw how good all the Dancers were in NYC and then she only used her Voucher and only studied with that group for a very short time. She’d already had a plan and it didn’t include living with her cousins. No she rented with her money from her Trust Fund an Tenement Apartment very very small one to say the least. Cristopher was still back in Michigan finishing his Associates Degree in Liberal Arts! Remember he wanted what Madonna wanted and he was the next one to go to Father and tell him he to was going to NYC? Only he told him that Madonna had called him and asked him to come out there that he could stay with her and they both had always had a special bond and she’d feel more secure if she had her little brother in the big City with her. And so Christopher packed up his car and off he went to save his sister he adored the most! So that’s what Andrew didn’t bother to mention in all his investigative research he did he didn’t once mention Christopher and it was Cristopher Ciccone ,Madonna’s younger (Gay Brother) that actually saved Madonna from being taken advantage of! And to be quite honest it was Christopher whom was going on all those Track Dates in all the Clubs who was Madonna’s back up Dancer. He was the other guy that was alway’s in the back right hand side of Madonna while they were doing all the Track Dates and filming her first two videos for Everybody & Starlight Videos! It was Christopher in the right hand side of his sister Madonna’s first two Professional Video’s that was released for MTV! So yes Andrew got most of it right about Madonna’s myths Christopher was there and was at home when Madonna first left for NYC and no she already had a setup plan within their Family , but ended up not staying with them because she was too much of a Control Freak and didn’t want her Dad keeping tabs on her through the Family! She wanted to do everything her way; it was her way or no way! And yes Andrew was right about her staying in one of those Apartments that was giving to her through one of those guys that was in the first Management Companies she’d signed with. That she ended up getting out of, but where Andrew was wrong about quite a few things was when he said that Madonna was going around and begging and sleeping with all these Record Producers to get a Record deal wasn’t any truth in that what so ever. It was when she started bringing her dubbed cassette tapes to Dj’s in the Clubs that is how she got her first real Record Deal and it was by the help of Jellybean Benitez that knew Seymour Stien that initially saw Madonna on MTV while in the Hospital and knew Jellybean Benitez in which was also signed with Sire Records! And once he’d listened to her Four Tracks written by Madonna and Produced by Steven Brey & Patrick Leonard. Seymour was already ready to sign Madonna Immediately! It was that no one knew cause he hadn’t any visitors coming in to see him for him to let them know that he wanted to sign Madonna Immediately! And you can thank Jellybean Benitez for that meeting he had with Seymour that day he brought that four track recording ; of which Jellybean had did a little bit of remixing it for it to appeal more to Seymour’s ears to hear! Then after seeing the videos Sire paid for to be filmed , well he said that Girl is going to be big very very big and I’m going to make sure she has all the necessary tools and Recording Studios with what ever Producers she needs or wants to help her create the Next Best thing in Female Recording! and as so she did. Madonna’s first Tour was booked when she’d gone into Sire Records and Signed her first real Record deal and even though Seymour is no longer with us I’m certain he’s looking down from above Clapping and enjoying the fact that it was him who took a chance on a Punky Style Girl from the Burbs of Michigan! Who at this time of this 21st Century in the year of 2020; Madonna still holds the Guinness Book of World Records; as being the Top Selling Musical Recording Artist of all time, and also still being the Top Selling Female Recording Artist of all Time! As well as still listed as having sold and has the most Recorded #1’s Selling and having the most #1’s of All Time in the whole World of any other Musical Recording Artists than Any Other Musical Recording Artists of All Time to Date of 2020!
That’s where Andrew should do a revised Addition to his Best Selling Unauthorized Biography of Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone!
Oh 1 more thing if Andrew really does another unauthorized biography on Madonna; he really needs to apologize to Christopher Ciccone for not once mentioning him when indeed he deserves it! Because had it not been for Christopher adjourning into Madonna’s Life of Staggering Celebrity, Fame & Fortune she has now she would’ve still been as famous with the Fortune she’s Amazed, but the difference wouldn’t have included her Gay Brother Christopher of whom was the one Man she entrusted the most when it came right down to making the Right Decisions that swayed Madonna into listening to her little Brother! Who by the way once Madonna started making the hundreds of millions of dollars , she did take care of not only her immediate Family, but has also taken care of people of which we’d never had knew about had it not been Christopher wrote his book about his Sister. He didn’t sugar coat it nor did he lie not once about what Madonna truly is and what she isn’t!
“When asked by Howard Stern “ On his 90 minute interview she did with him back in 2015 when she dropped her 17th Studio Album to her Catalogue of Music! He asked her about what she thought about the Book Cristopher had written about her, and her response was , I haven’t read it yet? That was the Perfect way of answering that question when if you’re a real Madonna Fan, that’s her saying; I’m not going to answer that question because it’s none of your Business? I think Howard knew that was going to be her answer. But we all know Howard he’ll go there whether you like it or not? That’s his job! And Madonna, well her answer is her job. As I close my Review on Andrew’s Unauthorized Biography About Madonna was Courageous as well as doing all that Ancestry Research on both the Ciccone’s Family Ancestry , but to also include The Fortins’s Ancestry was Phenomenal! That was a lot of hard work of Researching two Families Rightful Backgrounds, and to get it right the first time, is even more Congratulatory! The one thing had it been me writing about Madonna’s Families Ancestry? I’d included the other Famous People that’s in that Family Ancestry because there’re two: On the Fortin Side of which is where Madonna Fortin by which was Canadian French there’re two Famous Women of which are connected and are distant Relatives of Madonna’s Mother’s Maiden Name of Fortin is Related to both Ellen Degerneres & Celine Dion are both Related to Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone! Seventh Cousins for each of them!
I didn’t understand why Andrew didn’t add that into his Book? It probably would’ve sold an additional couple hundred Million Copies more of his Book!

Male centric view of a Woman

Author more interested in subject’s sex life and playing psychoanalyst than to fairly document her life.

Absolutely no mention of her songwriting and he talent for melodies and lyrics. Purposely sidestepping a conversation about her accomplishments and instead focusing on her boyfriend of the time.

Annoyed that the audiobook speaker mispronounces the names of MULTIPLE women (including her daughter!) but gets every single man’s name correct... including Mirwais Ahmadzaï. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Great information and let’s you peek into the life of this historical and ground breaking woman. I would love if Madonna did her tell all narrated by her. That would be magnificent.
