Publisher's Summary

Journey of the Heart is book written by Katie Williams who was 16 when she lost her 17-year-old brother to suicide. It is the journal she kept after he died. This is not a book that seeks to answer the medical or psychological questions surrounding suicide. This is a close personal look at one person's journey of what someone goes through after losing a loved one to suicide. The purpose of the book is to comfort and show others that they are not alone and there is hope to continue living even after such a tragedy. The book is especially helpful to those with a suicide loss within a family or for those who lost a sibling or friend to suicide.

Raw and brave for those pursuing a thoughtful life

What made the experience of listening to Journey of the Heart the most enjoyable?

Katie's raw and brave account of her four-year walk through grief inspired me. I felt honored to hear her read her work, and was privileged to listen to her intimate stories. At times I welled up with tears, others I laughed out loud. Through it all, I heard Katie say "I have chosen not to fight alone." I recommend this book to anyone pursuing a thoughtful life, whether or not they are facing loss at the moment.
