I can't recommend this book to anyone. It's without a doubt the worst audiobook I’ve ever bought. It appears to be written by someone who speaks English as a third language, and is apparently aimed at an audience of 4-year-olds. The simple sentence structures and hero-worshiping tone make it read like a cross between See Spot Run and a press release from the North Korean Central News Agency. The narrator appears to be a native English speaker, but still butchers simple words like “Palo Alto.” The content seems to be patched together from magazine interviews and is often painfully banal. There’s no indication that the author did any original research or interviewed anyone at all for this project. It’s a painfully amateurish production all around. Stay away.
He mispronounced a lot of words. Sometimes I wondered if he was a text-to-speech program.
I didn't really have any emotional reaction to this book. I did learn a few things about Elon Musk. But the book is so thoroughly dreadful that I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.
I don't think Audible should be carrying books this amateurish at all. There should be some basic level of quality control on the site.
