Publisher's Summary

Cincinnati heart surgeon Darryl Sutorious was spellbound, convinced he'd found the perfect wife. With bewitching hazel eyes and exquisite clothes, Dante Britteon seemed to have stepped straight out of Vogue and into his arms. But their honeymoon didn't last long.
Beneath Dante's china doll façade lurked a secretive, dangerous woman, a man-hater born as Della Faye Hall, whose four previous marriages had been spiked with butcher knives, pistols, vandalized houses, and a lover set on fire, according to the men she ensnared. And by the time Darryl - haunted by his own impotence - summoned the strength to demand out of the marriage, Della Faye was only too happy to oblige: with a bullet to the brain.
In this stunning audiobook, New York Times best-selling author Aphrodite Jones traces the intricate web of this fiendishly calculating sexual con artist. From Della Faye Hall's strange childhood, to her violent marriages, from the police investigation, to the murder trial, this is the shocking story of a suburban femme fatale; a gold digger, driven by jealousy and greed, to torture her husband to death.

Bleeding From The Ears

What would have made Della's Web better?

It started off so boring. An hour later my mind had wandered far from the book. Narrator didn't help matters either. I really tried but it was just painful. A real disappointment.

Not Jack Olsen, but still pretty good...

The story itself is really what makes this book interesting, and it is well told here, obviously well researched, and Della's twisted narcissistic personality is well portrayed. Jones writes well, but for more engaging reads with similar themes, one might try Bitter Almonds by Gregg Olsen, Son by Jack Olsen or Before He Wakes by Jerry Bledsoe. Still, this is an interesting portrait of the female psychopath.

Very Interesting

Enjoyed the book very much, found it difficult to comprehend the mind of Della, she was uniquely disturbed, very frightening character.
Would have gotten more from the story if there had been some type of psychological evaluation & conclusion that gave an indication as to the cause of her inhumanity & lack of empathy towards any human being.

Good story. But I could have lived without the affected narrative relay and weak sense of balance.
