The hero of Shiloh and his 65,000 Federal troops destroyed the great city of Atlanta, captured Savannah, and cut a wide swath of destruction through Georgia and the Carolinas on their way to Virginia. A scorched-earth campaign that continues to haunt the Southern imagination, Sherman's "March to the Sea" and ensuing drive north was a crucial turning point in the War between the States.

Better than a root canal
But just barely better. Horrific narration and in my opinion poorly written. Honestly it sounded like someone accumlated a bunch of facts about Stuart and listed them in sequence; it just was not well written and the narration did nothing to rescue it.

I've read a lot of biographies, and this is one of the best written ones I have come across. It's not so much a history, as it is an epic narrative of Jeb Stewart, and one of the best out there

Great Story - Lacked Excitement
Great story but too much detail. Felt it was more of a good college history text. Narrator has great voice but little excitement. Sounded like it was being read. Perhaps my greatest complaint would be the story details without the entire war’s perspective that lead up to that respective battle.

shoot the narrator
good book but the narrator speaks in such a monotone one finds onself constantly drifting off..if i see a book i want to read in the future and this guy is the narrator i will pass....
