Publisher's Summary

Too many young Catholics rarely miss Mass, even if they don't understand it; they have a Bible, even if they never read it; they go to confession, even if they aren't particularly repentant. The author's humorous and hard-hitting reflections drive home the point that God isn't calling the listener to be a good person - someone who merely obeys the rules - but a new person in Jesus Christ.

What the Critics Say

"Hart makes faith relevant to a generation that desperately seeks meaning and longs to hope in something greater than MTV, pop culture or the newest fad." (Fr. Dave Pivonka, TOR, Franciscan University)

Recommended for late teens and young adults

I thought this book was going to be quite different. I thought it would look at different aspects of the mass and show the ways they are exciting. While it was not this it was so much more.

Mark Hart is a favourite of mine in youth catechism - i use some of his dvds for youth group programs. I think this book could best be seen as a bridge between childhood faith and adult faith.

We know in Corinthians Paul speaks of us thinking like a child when we are a child and throwing this away as and adult. But how do we get there? How do we know what we need to retain, and what is an immature understanding?
This book helps - it is not comprehensive on all aspects of faith, but might just plant the seed required in an adolescent.
