Publisher's Summary

Bad Dogs Have More Fun is an unforgettable collection of more that 75 newspaper columns by John Grogan, the number-one New York Times best-selling author of Marley & Me. Combining humor, wit, poignancy and affection, these columns provide insight into the intriguing and wonderful world we live in. Whether it be writing about animals (from dogs to elephants to geese!), his powerful and moving comments about his own and other families, his trenchant comments on life's foibles and farces, or his interviews and interactions with people who are memorable and unusual in their own right, John Grogan makes us laugh, he makes us cry, he makes us think.

Critic Reviews

"Arte Johnson knows how to deliver a line or, for that matter, an entire anecdote. He's perfect as the narrator of this collection of articles....Johnson doesn't miss a beat when describing Grogan's quirky experiences....Here is a mélange of ideas, thoughts, and modern-day proverbs to engage listeners, especially commuters." One small point

Where does Bad Dogs Have More Fun rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Better than some. I had an issue with the narrator.

What did you like best about this story?

The stories he told about people he has met.

What didn’t you like about Arte Johnson’s performance?

Over and over he made the same mistake. He would start the chapter with the date. For the year he would, for example, say two thousand and four instead of the correct way of two thousand four. We learned in school that the word 'and' is used to break up dollars from cents. Two thousand and four means 2000 and 4. Maybe its not a big deal but for me it was like fingernails on a chalk board.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The story of the tow-truck driver and the assistance he gave the family looking for the hospital was wonderful. It helps renew my faith in the goodness of people.

Any additional comments?

I thoroughly enjoy listening to my books; especially on long drives.
