Is anyone listening? Do my prayers really change anything? Jared Brock sensed that something was missing in his prayer life, so he embarked on a yearlong journey to rediscover the power of prayer (and eat some delicious falafel). Follow Jared on a 37,000-mile trip around the world as he: dances with Hasidic Jews in Brooklyn, discovers the 330-year-old home of Brother Lawrence, plants prayer bombs in North Korea, burns his clothes at the end of the world, attends the world's largest church, and attempts fire walking (with only minor burns).

Funny Thoughts on How to Learn to Pray
I loved Jared Brock! This is a book for any pilgrim seeking more from their prayer life or seeking a more spiritual journey. Jared approached his journey with an open mind and full of enthusiasm. I laughed out loud at some of his adventures and thought deeply about the truths he discovered and applied them to my own journey.
I am not sure there are other books, but "A Year of Living Biblically" comes close, primarially due to the humor involved in getting outside of the comfort zone.
Jared's narration is just like he is in the room telling you his adventures. It is apparent he spent time researching each of the prayer methods prior to his exploration and this brings a special element to the narration.
Absolutely! I would remain in my car for long periods just so I would not have to stop listening in the middle of a chapter.
I highly recommend this as a personal study guide for the reader as they seek their own spiritual journey.
