The best, as usual.

Pam Houston is like Stevie Nicks of book-writing. Everything she does is incredible and inspiring and honest. Wish there were 50 more books like it.

Captivating Travels & Trials

Pam Houston grabs you by the heartstrings and carries your soul along on her adventures, challenges and ultimately her peace in these essays. Loved this audiobook! Only minor qualm: the narrator mispronounced multiple words which was distracting at times.

Yearning For Travel

I loved everything about this book. The narrator had such an ease to her voice I felt like I was sitting around a campfire listening to her travel stories and the wisdom she accumulated. Wonderful.

Great writing, not the best performance

Overall I loved this book. Pam Houston has had so many adventures that are worthy of reading/hearing, and she tells them in a very entertaining and relatable way. However, frequent mispronunciations and misplaced pauses by the narrator - whose voice is otherwise nice to listen to - are quite annoying.

Another great Pam Houston book

Not as great as when Pam narrates herself. Mispronounced common words like cat scratches, but thankfully they're not super frequent. Luckily Pam's writing carries her own voice so well.

Pronunciation matters

For an author who places important in the grand places of the West, it would be best to get a narrator that can actually pronounce those places. Uintas. Tetons. Seriously!

Breathtakingly, achingly beautiful prose

Pam Houston has done it again. A gorgeous collection of stories about adventure, travel, love, and dogs.
