Publisher's summary

Their union could save a species. First, they'll have to save themselves.

The Auxem are desperate. A virus has killed all their women and is beginning to affect the males' fertility. Their only chance for survival is mating with human women.

Jayne Lynch is in charge of supervising the small group of volunteers who will be test subjects for a breeding program with the aliens. She's supposed to be impartial, but then she meets Arnon, the dark-haired, dark-eyed, muscular crown prince. The chemistry between them is too strong to ignore.

Arnon is equally drawn to the curvy, blonde-haired Earthling. His father, the king, doesn't approve, but Arnon thinks Jayne is perfect - until he learns that she hasn't been entirely honest with him.

The catch is that Arnon is hiding a painful secret of his own. Can he and his mate learn to trust each other in time to save their marriage and the breeding program? Or is their happy ending doomed...along with everyone on Auxem?

Auxem is Book 13 in the TerraMates series and a stand-alone, full-length science fiction romance. There are no cliffhangers, and a happy ending is guaranteed!

Another winner

Another great book by Lisa Lace. I love the dual POV. This story is about the creator of Terra Mates daughter, who volunteers to be a bride to a prince of the alien nation that have lost all their women to a virus. They are looking for women that do not carry a certain gene because this gene only produces mail offspring. They need female offspring. The Auxem are keeping a secret about themselves. Also a mistake has been made on the test for the gene and is not found out until after Armon and Jayne bonded. If you love Lisa Lace this is must. I received this audio book free in exchange for a honest review.

More Auxem Adventures to Come?

In this latest TerraMates installment, we meet the daughter of the founder of TerraMates and her winged stud from a land far, far away. She's off to save the population of another planet while falling hard for the crown prince. Neither of their dads are particularly happy about this, and drama ensues when a misunderstanding and a parent's interference cause heartache. It looks like there is a huge potential for follow-up stories involving Arnon's siblings, and I hope we get to hear those soon.

Logan McAllister and Faith Clark were both good. There was a little inconsistency with Arnon's voice sounding very different from one narrator to the next, but it wasn't a "dealbreaker." Overall, they were both very good and did a great job with bringing the story to life. Every book in this series is credit- and cash-worthy.

A World Without Women

Auxem is the first story about a dying world, Arnon is the Crown Prince of Auxem and part of a team who come to earth to try and find wives/mates as all the women on Auxem are dead or are dying and there are only men left. They have been traveling through space to try to find females without the H4T7 gene and some women on earth are suitable

Jane, whose mother runs TerraMates on earth is part of a group of women who volunteer to mate and match the men from Auxem. She and Arnon fall deeply in love and mate/marry. During the journey back to Auxem things go terribly wrong, Jane discovers a secret that could ruin everything for the men of Auxem. But unfortunately for them they discover a mistake has been made in the screening of Jane and she carries the H4T7 gene.

What will become of them, will their marriage be strong enough to go against the rules, will the secret Jane knows be revealed? Will Arnon go against his father the King and stay with Jane? Will the women of earth be able to save the planet?

To know the answers to some of these questions you will have to listen to the story. Some of the questions are not answered in this book so I'm looking forward to the next story in the series and as there are five princes in the royal house of Auxem I'm hoping Lisa Lace writes a story for all of them.

The interactions and chemistry between Jane and Arnon are hot and steamy so for that reason this story is only for adults.

The narration of the story is very good and both narrators do an excellent job.

It starts off fast and dreamy with a lot of sexual

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

There were several discrepancies and unanswered questions that really bothered me. I think they need to be cleared up better.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Logan McAllister and Faith Clark ?

I usually love audiobooks that have both a male and female narrator but I almost wish this one was just Logan. He nailed both characters. I enjoyed both narrator's but I was not a fan of Faith's "male" voice for Arnon, it just didn't feel right for him. Faith did great with Jane, don't get me wrong.

Any additional comments?

I had a very hard time processing how to rate this book. I loved it but at the same time there were several discrepancies and unanswered questions that really bothered me. It starts off fast and dreamy with a lot of sexual tension. There are a ton of new characters, some new back story information, and a bunch of future potential for additional stories for the other characters!

Jayne Lynch and Arnon are great characters. They have spark from the very first moment. They both value family, are intelligent, hard workers and put others before themselves. Their story may well be my favorite TerraMates love story so far.

My only issue with the story is that there are a lot of contradictions, a few discrepancies that the author attempts to clear up but after you finish you realize they never really were and a few side story lines that you are left hanging on.

Like I said before, this was a great love story so that earns stars but I really hope that Lisa finishes some of the side stories!!!

Female narrator...

The male narrator was great; however the female narrator's "male" voice was not good at all. It was sometimes hard to remember the two male voices were the same character because they were so dramatically different.

TerraMates Book 13

This is a great addition to the TerraMates series. Lisa Lace is an excellent author that weaves a great sci-fi romance. The story is unique and interesting. The TerraMates founder’s daughter volunteered to join a new program to help match women with their Alien husbands. The stakes are higher in this unique planet because their males mate for life and need children to save them from extinction.

Narration is well done and brings the story to life.

I’m hoping there will be more stories about Auxem men and early women. Armon has several brothers that need a HEA as well. I’m looking forward to the next TerraMates book!

Not as expected

Really not what I was expecting. The narration was cheesy and why couldn't the male narrator read the male parts throughout and vice versa?

Auxem by Lisa Lace

What did you love best about Auxem?

How smitten Arnon was with Jayne right from the moment he first saw her.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Arnon was my favorite. He sincerely cared for the people of his planet and desired to find a way to take care of them by finding a way to insure their future.

Which character – as performed by Logan McAllister and Faith Clark – was your favorite?

Faith Clark's rendering of Jayne. She seemed to capture Jayne's sense of humor, and wonder, best.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Couldn't say.

Any additional comments?

Another great story in Lisa Lace's TerraMates series. Arnon and Jane Lynch's story is the sixth book I've read in the series and definitely one of my favorites. I really liked it from the very beginning when Jayne asks Arnon, "Are you an angel?" and he says, "No, but you are." It was a sweet scene, showing that Arnon was smitten from the moment he saw Jayne even though he didn't expect to ever see her again.

Arnon has come to Earth with his father and brothers representing his home planet of Auxem. They hope to find women on earth willing to marry the men of their planet because their population is mostly male therefore, dying out. As the director of TerraMates, Jayne's mother is working with them to find a suitable women and brings Jayne along for the negotiation dinner. Arnon can't believe his angel is there, and lucky for him Jayne was just as intrigued with him.

They fall in love as they work on the project of finding women to match with the men from Auxem. These two really are perfect for one another and quickly form a strong bond. Their physical chemistry is amazing, but it's their emotional bond that brings them through the unexpected problems that turn up in their relationship.

I'm really hoping Ms. Lace will follow up with more of Ari and Elle's story, or perhaps Anders will find love with someone in the next group of women. I listened to the audio version and enjoyed the alternating narrative from both a male and female narrator. 4 stars
