Can coloring books help de-stress your life?

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this audiobook to anyone who wants to know what more about the phenomenon of adults coloring. This audiobook provides a basic overview of why adults have taken to coloring. Some start coloring to reduce stress levels while others find it challenges their brain. Still others have used coloring as a way to be part of a community of people enjoying the same activity together.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Your Guide to Adult Coloring Books?

I think that the part I found most interesting was learning about all the different medias and methods available, both to the coloring novice and to the expert.

What does Marc Schindler bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Audiobooks are unique in the fact that our listener opinion of narrators is very much a personal preference. On the one hand, to much inflection in the voice of the narrator can be quite annoying, while too little makes the reader sound mechanical (several books downloaded from Librivox come to mind). In the case of this audiobook, the narrator was a little to mechanical for my taste. In small doses, this style was acceptable, but if this had been an 8 hour book, I might have not have had the same opinion.

What insight do you think you’ll apply from Your Guide to Adult Coloring Books?

I had been wondering whether I would find this activity a potential source of stress relief. After hearing this book, I have decided to buy a basic set of pencils and field test the idea for myself.

Coloring books are not only for kids.

The book was very informative. It had alot of useful information. it talked about what to color with , technics to use . It stated that coloring is helpful not only to improve focus but to make one feel better about themselves. It also said your coloring does not have to be perfect as long as you enjoy it and are happy with the finished product. This book was given to me at a discount or free.
