Publisher's summary

A refreshingly candid and wickedly funny look at life's second half from Everybody Loves Raymond TV sitcom star and comic Brad Garrett.

In this no-holds-barred audiobook of comedic and personal essays, Brad Garrett waxes hilarious - and irreverently honest - about the gaffes, the challenges, and ultimately the joys of middle age as he advises us on how to best approach the dreaded second half of life.

Ranging in topics from genetics to genitals, weight to women, and dating to diarrhea, Brad leaves no stone unturned in this laugh-out-loud look at getting older. With pieces such as "No Scales in Heaven", in which Brad points out the essential pointlessness of overthinking diet and exercise, and "Celebrating Your E.D. (Erectile Dysfunction) During Your Midlife Crisis", the star comedian encourages you to forget the overwhelming concerns that accompany middle age and to welcome the laughs - even if you have a 50-50 chance of throwing your back out in doing so.

Penned in Brad's signature witty, conversational, no-nonsense style that has cemented his status as an icon in the comedy industry, this autobiographical book will teach you the most important thing: that no matter what, we're all in this together. So embrace it.

You can't run and listen to this book.

I've always loved Brad from his days on Everybody Love Raymond. I didn't know he did stand up until this book, but I will be on the lookout for more. It's such a cliche to say that I've never laughed so hard, but it's true. I had to stop listening so many times, the book must have lasted twice as long. This book made me realise how tame most comedy really is these days. I thoroughly recommend this book and hope your sides hurt as much as mine.

Like a conversation with a good friend.

This is a genial gentle man, who shares his story with humor and refreshing honesty.

Just a Terrible load of Garbage! "SAVE YOUR MONEY"

I have 219 books in my Library, what a surprise, as this is piece of crap .. "If" you think Baby Brad will talk about "Raymond" think again..He talks about Eight (8) Mins. about the show/cast. He said Peter Farted,Marie can drink as much as him. Patty got fake Breast, and Raymond is far-far richer than he is....Instead he whines about his fail marriage and the divorce settlement.
Well guess what 'Baby Brad'..Nobody forced you to get married and you should of known the divorce laws in California., Then he rips other religions and brags about his live in girl-friend who is 25 years younger than him,, . Brad thinks he is protected from another bad settlement, but has he ever heard about "common-Law' Marriage? ...Believe me, I am generally not a negative person, but this book was so bad & stupid & Boring....Now I see why Baby Brad only made 9% of Raymond Ramaro's salary..
Brad was ok on 'Everybody Loves Raymond'.which is why this book was such a huge letdown. "SAME YOUR MONEY"

Funny

I liked Brad on Raymond, but I never heard his stand up so thought I’d give this a try. Plus with a title like this, it caught my eye! I enjoyed this and there were many laugh out loud moments. There are impressions interspersed throughout, which were entertaining.

Brad told a fantastic story.

Hilarious telling of his life in comedy (to date). Brad kept you engaged and listening.

Like a Car Wreck

Really had a hard time listening to a grown man whine for this long . In the end it just sounds like he is praying for an early demise.

Hilarious……..and wise…..

Any man, especially over 50, should read this book (or listen to it, read by the author, as I did). Write down what you learn and review it often. It will save you from reaching for the fentanyl.

Awesomely cringeworthy!

I loved listening to this book. I didn’t know too much about it before I started so some of the material was definitely a little shocking but funny as hell. It’s not politically correct but it’s fun and it’s just a breath of fresh reality. This was a welcome distraction to all of the election nonsense!!! Loved listening to his voice!
