Publisher's summary

This is the extraordinary, behind-the-scenes tale of how Woodstock went from a pipe dream to the most iconic rock concert of all time. Elliot Tiber, then known as Eliyahu Teichberg, was a budding painter in the 1960s. He also happened to be head of his local chamber of commerce - and owner of the yearly permit to hold summer music concerts. The rest, as they say, is history.

Wow This Audiobook Blew My Mind

This is the most interesting and entertaining audiobook I ever bought. It tells about all the behind the scenes drama that occurring during the planning of Woodstock Music and Arts Festival. The author was right in the middle of the "storm" and made it very visual and rather humorous at times. Very hip and groovy. Wish I could have been there in 1969.

What an amazing story!

This book, along with his other memoir, Palm Trees on the Hudson, details the life of a Zelig-like character. Elliot met so many key artists and writers and was present at so many crucial events, most especially as the one person who found a home for the Woodstock Music and Art festival in Bethel, New York. As they said back in the day, it was a trip! You won’t be disappointed: you’ll go through all of it with him! Enjoy the wild ride. I sure did.
