Excellent book - awful audio version
What would have made Eine Geschichte der Welt in 100 Objekten better?
The subject of the book is great and very interesting. The reading is excellent, but for some reason someone decided to add music inbetween chaptters. Or ... not really music; more like sounds. Or noise. Actually, sometimes it sounded like someone trying to smash a piano with a banjo while playing the shower scene music from 'Psycho'. Only worse. I had to stop listening to this book after a couple of hours because the music was so incredibly annoying.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Eine Geschichte der Welt in 100 Objekten?
Well, the reading was great, and parts of the book stod out as very interesting, but the most memorable moment was probably when I decided to stop listening to it

This is a great book and a terrible book. The stories are great, well writtten, interesting, and well read. But I simply can't imagine what drove the editors to decide that music needed to be added in order to enhance the listening experience, because it doesn't. Here's one credit wasted on a book which I'll never finish.
