Publisher's summary

From the heart of one of the most beloved performers in music comes a candid memoir of professional triumph, private heartbreak, and personal victory, a coming-of-age account of a very private search for harmony and a very public rise to fame.

Coming Home to Myself is the result of that emotional journey, a song of personal discovery that taught Wynonna Judd to love not just what she does, but who she is. From a truly exceptional woman comes an unexpected memoir of survival, strength, hope, and forgiveness, filled with an exultant and empowering message certain to resonate with those who have dreamed of finding themselves, and who only needed the courage and inspiration to begin their own journey.

Stay with it!

At first, I had trouble getting interested in this book because it seemed like a “poor pitiful me” story of blaming mom for everything that wasn’t perfect in life… I stuck with it though & the last chapter seemed to tie things together and show how much the writer grew once she committed to doing the work that was needed and moving past the victim mentality. We all have room for growth!

Incredibly honest book!

Loved how honest and raw Wynonna is about her life. I’ve never read such a detailed biography.
From normal interactions to those core feelings during sticky situation.
Very refreshing

Thank you

This book spoke to me from beginning to end. Wynona described the exact emotions I have felt in my life. I wanted to reach out to her and tell her I felt a connection to her spirit. I want her to know how much I appreciate her candid approach. Her honesty is so real and pure. None of us are perfect. She helped me to see myself in a better light. I can’t thank you enough. I wish I could give you a hug.

Fascinating Story...She Hold Nothing Back

I own a few Judd records from their debut days but would never refer to myself as a Wynonna fan. HOWEVER, I was intrigued enough by the "finding myself" theme that I bought it. It turned out to be a joyful, entertaining romp, disarmingly candid and insightful. I "saved" the last 2 hours, because didn't want it to end. Highly recommended.

Wonderful up close look at a great Human being

I love this very Candid look at Wynonna Ellen Judd. It was a very personal experience listening to all of her struggles I laughed, cried, and felt her pain and proud moments when she would take a situation learn from it and come out better on the other side. I always liked Judd music however I always thought what a baby Wy is . What is funny is so much of her story I can absolutely identify with. Love love love

Coming Home to Myself

I read this book when it first came out years ago. I loved it then and I love it now. Wynonna is so relatable. I feel bad for all she’s had to deal with during her lifetime so far. Sometimes life isn’t fair.
I hope she writes another book about more of her life in the future. She’s so talented and I feel like I am listening to a friend.

Raw, Real, Victorious

Great read for the fans but an equally meaningful read if you need life guidance. Learn through the stories, the heartbreaks, the recovery, the falls, the love & victories. Wy’s much more than a soulful & powerful singer (best on the planet), she’s a minister of sorts of being true to yourself while being open to changing yourself. The learning never stops & this book proves it.
