Being conscious to what resonates!

Another good book by Chip and Dan. Everyday great moments happen that make true differences in the world. Today, so much of what we call "Customer Service" or "Customer Success" is just a bunch of activities that some organization says delivers value. These activity based programs often miss the spot because they are not attached to real value or as Chip and Dan describe some "moment" . People in organizations that take the time in their day to day jobs to appreciate and recognize if they are providing real value or making an impact on others will far exceed the activity based programs. People also need to take a look at themselves and appreciate what moments impact them.

The Perpetual Ying and Yang of Advancement

Max Tegmark, does a fantastic job of bringing a clarity to what is possible in the age of AI. Technological advancements from the beginning in time have had the exact same dilemma facing them, rocks were chiseled in tools and arrowheads originally used for hunting and sustaining life, then used by some as tool to fight wars and battles, AI is no different. Good and bad (Ying/Yang) will always exist, those that want to do good with it will do amazing things, those that want to use it for harmful activities will do amazing things. The likely hood is that in the end there will be some balance of AI that will contribute to the growth of our existence and provide rich knowledge for our future pioneers.

A nice description of a Success Framework

Congratulations are in order to Tristan White. He is one of the fortune people that listen to and find what really motivates them. Culture is what makes organizations of any kind successful. But it doesn't come for free, you have to hire, you have to adapt and you have to practice the behaviors, habits that form sustainable culture. There are some great lessons to be learned on how to scale culture as your business grows.

Business has changed, Disrupt or be Disrupted

I am a Geoffrey Moore fan. He does a great job of taking his research into the challenges facing businesses today and helps prepare businesses for the future. Delivering products today in the SaaS world has many challenges that didn't exist in the past. When you sit back and look at all the great companies that have unsuccessfully re-invented themselves it is astonishing that even with smart people at the helm you have to adapt. Zone to Win put a perspective on innovation that has to get leaders to understand and commit to what business they want to pursue. I thought the book was well written and narration was good.

Humanity at its best!

First, what a great story of raw humanity. Second, Amanda, thank you for your courage to be who you are! We don't have to love you or agree with you but we do have to respect that you truly are who you are. I loved the rawness and authenticity in each and every part of your journey and story, it was easy to imaging being there with you and feeling the emotions. This is a story of a true artist. We should all take a lesson from this book, we are all the artists of our own being, we create who we are! Unfortunately too many of us let others produce our art and influence who we are! Thank you for sharing you.

Uncovering the Challenges of being a Founder!

Excellent book about the challenges and hardships of building a complete business. Innovators and entrepreneurs need to be recognized for the what ever level of success they achieve. The challenges and obstacles that face a new startup overwhelm most. I believe this is a must book to read for anyone thinking of starting their own business, not to learn how to do it, but to understand how you will be challenged on your journey. This book should not deter you from starting your own business but it will be a lot easier if you are prepared. Solid advice throughout the whole book.

Everyone has a purpose

Overall story and message the author was communicating is a very important message. Every voice is important and we should all learn to listen to these voices and create an environment to take action.
