Dumb

I love Carolyn Brown books but this one was just dumb. Probably not going to get more of this series.

Finally!

Finally we get a book worthy of the Pendergast character. I really enjoyed seeing him in action as an FBI agent and an uncommonly brilliant man. Right up until the epilogue I had tremendous hope for this series. We shall see. But this book is a solid 9 out of 10 stars.

Coming to a close?

Much better than the last book in this series with interesting characters and a lot of action. The story made Robie and Jessica seem very real and very human. Something about the title and the ending of the story make me think the series could be coming to a satisfying conclusion.

Score!

Even though I figured out the bad guy about halfway through, I liked this book. Even more, I liked the ending and the promise it held for stories to come. This is a great series!

Horrible Subject Matter!

I loved the first few Maiden Lane books but really could not find interest in the middle part of the series. I was pretty bored when I saw this release and decided to get it. But after hours of stressed listening about a horrid subject, I was really ready for it to end. I did listen to the whole story but it was not a relaxing, enjoyable romance. It left me wrung out emotionally. Be ware before getting this book. It is not a feel good story.

One of the Best Books!

Grab the tissues and get ready for the awesome story of a mother's love. I will never forget this one.

WOW!

I was beginning to think that this was just another Longmire story that did nothing to further the main storyline that started 4 or so books back. Then all of a sudden it came together with a big "oh no!" This book is not to be missed as it sets the scene for the next one. Now I can't wait.

A Seriously Good Book!

I have shied away from this author because I needed a break from violence. But I am really glad I chose this one on the sale. It was well worth the full price and now I might go back to read more of this series. A solid 9 out of 10 stars.

This series was my first by this author. I totally enjoyed every book. Great characters, a setting that makes you want to visit - and a happily ever ending. Total relaxation and enjoyment!

Enjoyable!

Totally unbelievable but totally enjoyable adventure with fascinating characters. I'm hooked for the next in the series.
