Not the best narration or the best of Block

The narration on this one was sooooo slow and boring. I'm a HUGE Block fan but this one must have been in really early times when he was writing all the smut. I don't mind smut but not the WHOLE storyline. The "story" was hard to follow, too much filler detail not enough substance. Wish I could have returned this one.

Joe didn't follow is in his father's footsteps.

I bought this book even without knowing it was Stephen King's son who was the author. I wish I could say he was even half as good as his dad but I cannot. I thought this book was all over the place. Some things were just too outrageous and not believable. Had trouble following some areas and had to reread (relisten) to be sure I even had it right. I think he might be better suited to straight crime mystery without the "weirdness". Its just too "out there". Wish I could have gotten my money back on this one.

Great talent - wonderfully narrated.

This was my first David Ellis novel but it wasn't my last. As soon as I finished this I was gathering up the rest of David's works. His journey as a novelist has been a great one. I didn't love his first two books but he improves so much with age. This one was brilliant ! Dick Hill as always is a great narrator that just adds to the enjoyment.

Another wonderful submission by Linda Fairstein !

Well researched and filled with relatable details, this is true Fairstein. Her ability to mold the story around the geographic and historical details of her city is pure talent. As always this story was interesting and filled with some twists and turns .... in more ways than just the plot! The narration by Barbara Rosenblat was perfection and I cannot imagine anyone else doing this series for Linda since I have come to know the voices as part of the characters. Well worth the wait !

Not the Kinsey you Expect

Sue Grafton novels are usually good for a laugh and some easy listening (or reading) about girl detective work on a budget. She is not Janet Evanovich funny and doesn't have the talent for character development that Janet has, BUT I do normally enjoy her alphabet series books in between the heavier mystery novels.
This particular submission has really missed the mark. I think that Sue Grafton thought people would actually be interested in the things here but it is not presented in an interesting fashion and the slow voice of Judy Kaye does not help the problem. She publishes at a pretty slow rate compared to most writers and maybe this was just "busy work" while she works on her next body of work. Next time Sue maybe you should just keep going on the next best thing instead of turning out this trash. Lawrence Block can publish shorts like this because he is VERY funny but you cannot never hope to fill those shoes.
Not only is this not worth the credit but it is not worthy of your time. Use your credit on a real story that won't put you to sleep.

Great stories - Lighter side of the Law

This is one of the few novels I have read by this author and I will keep going down his list of books until I have read them all. This book only solidifies his standing in my books. He is a great writer. Chris Knopf writes in a very easy manner, not thick language like Dean Koontz but then who can take that heaviness all the time. Chris has a lighter touch and although the subject matter is murder and legal battles, he is somehow able to feel he has lightened your mood. He has a great gift for a balanced novel with humour, intrigue and even a sprinkle of romance thrown in. His books are well worth a credit !

I also enjoyed Stefan Rudnicki's performance. Listen to the preview. This is a great feature that Audible has added a couple years ago and its great. The novel might be wonderful but if you cannot take one more minute of the narrator's voice then it spoils the whole experience.

Outstanding Writer!

Scott Turow is an amazing writer. I read approximately 3 novels a week and while I enjoy many authors, there are few that can hold your attention and keep you guessing right to the last page like Scott. He has an amazing talent for plot and characters. This book, along with the others are ones I give people as gifts often because I am excited to turn other people into fans. Nobody should miss this talent. While his books can all stand on their own I suggest you read them in order since I think it will help with the storylines.
Now if we could just get him to write more - encore, encore !

Wonderful Book

James Sheehan novels are great and this one is no exception. I enjoy his work so much. His attention to detail and great storyline is fabulous. I do suggest that you read his books in order so you can see the development of the characters involved. You could read them on their own but if you plan to read more of his work, start from the beginning.

Another great novel by Lawrence Block. Interesting storyline and riddled with humor throughout. A great story teller and great character development.

Great Novelist continues with great work

I discovered Chris Knopf's work by accident as I was browsing through my old standby favorites and decided to give him a try. I was not disappointed and have now been collecting all of his novels. This story "Two Time" had rich characters and a great, clear and interesting story line, plus some humor. Get this one AND look for all his books.
