Hardy's Best

I first read this classic 54 years ago and I remember how deeply impacted I was by this emotional tale of such a powerful woman. Now, in this brilliantly performed Audible revisitation, the 17 hour binge put me in touch with many parallels of my past life and that of Tess and these other characters. For the moment, I just can't seem to stop flooding.

Have Tissues Handy

Brilliant read by Ian. This short story will enthrall you and take you to a special place. The tale leaves us with a powerful message, as it is also an allegory of life. Never lose sight of your inner child. Never forget your roots. One added thought.....animals understand a lot more than we think they do!

Gripping

Roller coaster finale to The Heavens May Fall. Had to binge this intense followup. Well read performance. Esken's takes the reader to an icy lake for the conclusion of this two part mystery. Get yourself a pot of coffee and jump in to this amazing Audible.

A Great Novel that spawned a Great Film

Performances were brilliant. This human story should be required reading in middle school. It sets examples that are apparently not taught or learned in schools anymore. Time to step back a bit and learn, or re-learn what we missed the first time.

Required Reading

Brilliant performances of this engrossing take that will tug your emotions to the breaking point. The ending will throw you about relentlessly to where you cannot guess the next page! The epilog will peak your emotions once again as all questions are answered, except one. It has taken me well over an hour to stop crying long enough to write this review. I suspect there will be more tears shed as I recall what I heard over the last two days. If this story doesn't move you, then sadly, you are a block of granite!

Here is a masterpiece that will relentlessly tug at your brain, your heart, and your soul. I binged it to its volcanic ending, having followed every twist and rise and fall of brilliant storytelling. It has left me satisfied and fulfilled by my time invested in experiencing Esken's art. I need to recover and chill with some wine and a sandwich! Put this audible at the top of your wish list NOW!

Monumental

Every person on this Earth needs to read this eye and mind opening masterpiece. We are all works in progress. This story will move each of us ahead, progressing a bit more towards self awareness, human interaction, and opening our hearts to each other. Thank you Jodi, for inspiring me at this old age of 67. Bless you!

Great Twisty Story

Jeff Woodman gives some of the best voice acting I've ever heard. Now I must get the sequel!

Excellent performance by LaVoy!

Story had some twists, most of them predictable, but was well worth the listen to see how it all unfolded. LaVoy's voice characterizations were brilliant and believeable.
