A Beautiful Story of Love, Pain and Redemption
I had already read A Thousand Splendid Suns, Khaled Hosseini's other book, and I wasn't quite sure if The Kite Runner could top it.
Well, they are two very different and lovely books. The Kite Runner tells a story which portrays the struggles that we face as individuals trying to chart our courses in this wonderful, interesting world which is sometimes filled with pain and suffering.
Just like A Thousand Splendid Suns, this book gives us a view into the effects of regional conflict, in this case, the war in Afghanistan.
Good Idea, Not Meant for Audio book Format
The ideas presented in the book are quite good and I believe will help teams validate ideas and find solutions to problems. However, I do not believe that the audio book format is an optimal one for this type of book.
It was hard to keep pace with the progress of the ideas and the references . A paperback or hard cover edition will work better, and I intend to buy one
Interesting Concept but Could Have Been Shorter
The concept of black swans is an interesting one and I agree with it. However, the author spent too much time pontificating and trying to show how intellectually inferior certain disciplines are.
The book would have been a lot more enjoyable and shorter if he had cut the self praise and talk of people who dislike him and his work.

Decent Book, But Sounds Like Others That I've Read
Extreme Ownership contains good examples of leadership from Seal operations, and the applicability of such leadership wisdom in everyday business decisions. However, this is nothing groundbreaking in terms of ideas. If you haven't read any similar books before, this is a good book about leadership to start with.
Good Advice for Aspiring Leaders
This book contains some simple and straightforward tips for positioning yourself to grow into a leadership position.
Such information is essential to people at all levels in an organization. The key issue is to grow your network and use it properly.
A truly touching story
A beautiful and candid story of life in Afghanistan. It is a reminder of the great levels of pain and suffering that people go through.
Touching, Amazing and Sad.
This book tells a beautiful and sad story of how a gifted person confronted the reality of death and truncated dreams. Sad and beautiful.
I would definitely recommend this to busy people.
Definitely a great read. I loved reading this book. The narration could have been better - I had to speed it up slightly.
Not an exhaustive account of cultures around the world, but it certainly explains cultural and societal differences worldwide.
Good but ultimately boring
A good introduction to stoicism. Slow paced and introspective. Will take multiple reads or listens to digest properly.
