A Lifetime of Love
The Music of Us: Still Life with Memories, Book 3 written by Uvi Poznansky and narrated by Don Warrick. This is another amazing addition to the world the author has created. This time the story is told from Lenny’s point of view. We find out how the love between Lenny and Natasha started. The story begins in the early 1970’s as Lenny struggles with facing the fact he is losing the love of his life to a horrible disease that at the time there was so little known about it. He has to decide if he will take her the next day for the brain scan.
Lenny then takes us back through his memories of how his enlistment in the marines. How he met Natasha and her memorable Mother. The descriptions of life during the 40’s for the Greatest Generation were truly enjoyable to hear. This is another fantastic part to the puzzle of the story of this complex love affair and slowly budding romance during World War II.
This story holds the listener's attention from the very beginning when they realize what is happening with Natasha. The reminiscing of Lenny and the flashback to how their love began is such a sweet thing because the listener can see where it is going. The overall arch of the story building their love story to take them back to the beginning where he knows what may happen in the future. This is truly a beautiful story. That held my entire attention throughout the entire audio production.
Don Warrick did another great job on this vocal performance. His characterization of Lenny was outstanding. I loved how Lenny singing along really gave the character more heart and soul. The Uncle Schmeel character and Natasha’s mother were also very memorable. This was a highly enjoyable performance from Mr. Warrick. The production value was of the highest quality there was no audio defect the entire performance was crisp and clear. The New Standard for Personal Trainers
Aubrey joins the elite infinity fitness center. She wants to unwind from her career and get back in the great shape she was in during college. Infinity fitness center is high quality and has a personal trainer named Ryan if she is willing to wait in the lounge her first day. And so this highly erotic short story starts. Author and Narrator Olivia Green did an amazing job with this story. She builds chemistry between the characters as wells as doing a fantastic job of going into great detail of the workout from a trainers perspective. This is not a slam bam thank mam story. There is an actual story as most readers have come to expect from this author. The narration is also very good. Ms. Green gives a great vocal performance and this listener would really enjoy hearing her perform on longer audio productions. The production quality is excellent there are no noticeable flaws, this is a crisp and clear audio production. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
My New Favorite Salon
Head Salon is written and narrated by Olivia Green clocks in at 30 minutes. This is a short but very enjoyable erotic story about a handsome young professor in need of a haircut before his big interview. The story starts right at closing time as he comes in desperately in need of tidying up for his interview. Rebekah the new girl finish her first shift offers to take care of him. The fun begins.
The story holds the listener's attention well, is not over the top. The nice slow build adds flavor and to a good short story. The narration was good Ms. Green has a good voice for this genre and delivers a good performance. There was some choppiness that I was not sure if it was in the narration or the production. Overall if you are a fan of the genre and like the setting and theme check out this short story. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
Fun Male Fantasy Wish Fulfillment
Company Ink: The Pen Is Mightier, Book 2 by J. A. Cipriano narrated by Luke Daniels is a fun roller coaster ride of pure wish fulfillment. This is simply pure male fantasy it’s like mental junk food not filling at all but you know you want it. If you know someone who is hardcore into the #metoo movement and they find it on your audible account and listens you will have some explaining to do. Like their bodice rippers don’t exploit men? Oh, wait that doesn’t count. Besides the fact, Amazon gave J.A. the boot on July 18th so finding his work is now a pain. If you have it purchased your set but if you don’t well good luck and try and get it on another platform.
The story picks up with Roger taking a break from a rough night with the harem. This time around he ends up dealing with a pen-wielder who can eliminate any other pen-wielders creations. He befriends the former Miss Tennessee after leaving his under liar to get cash for upgrades. Later he ends up in Monaco plays high stakes poker and hobnobs with the eccentric and super rich. It leads all to a series of dramatic shootouts, magical battles, and cat and mouse games until the figure behind it all is finally tracked down. The villain was named Presley. The story revisits the FBI and their offer for Roger to join them again but of course, he declines it. Enjoy this for what it is not what you want it to be. This is an audible book I requested and the review is voluntary.
Strong Second Volume in this Amazing Series!
Still Life with Memories, Book 2 by Uvi Poznansky narrated by David Kudler this is an amazing second edition into the author’s series. I was just amazed by the change in perspective the author used when writing the story from Ben’s point of view. The way 2 people see the event differently is so startling.
The background on the life of the family as well filled in so many wholes I did not realize had existed. The lies Lenny tells Ben about his mother and his reasoning for them. Anita and Lenny’s relationship, the deeper meaning of it, and the symbolism throughout the story all make this such a great story. This holds the listener's attention. The story may not be for everyone this is definitely a genre story for fans for women’s fiction and literary fiction. If you have an open mind and are willing to expand your listening palate try Ms. Pozansky’s series. It is a deep and compelling literary treat. And this is coming from a guy whose normal listening fare is post-apocalyptic fiction, horror, and mystery.
The narration for the audiobook was provided by David Kudler. This is the first time that I have heard an audio performance by Mr. Kudler. He did an excellent job with this varied cast of established characters. He does an excellent job of matching voices to the characters and making them his own. The production value of this audiobook is excellent it has wonderful crispness and clarity through the entire production. Great Start of a New Series in the PA Genre!
Behind Our Walls Trilogy, Book 1 written by Chad A. Clark narrated by Rebecca Ortese.
The post-apocalyptic genre is becoming stale with the same format of the world being destroyed. The events proceeding, during and after the apocalypse described in detail is almost boilerplate format now. Some authors are trying to find new ways in this genre to tell stories that are compelling for listeners and readers. Mr. Clark has chosen to focus on the character-driven narrative of the survival of humanity after an event of some type of nuclear exchange and societal collapse.
The story starts following a small family unit and their struggles to survive day to day. The harsh reality of dealing with man’s inhumanity to man. How women will become a prize and victimized. Trust will be a rare commodity. Groups will need to come together for mutual protection. The author paints a very grim world with some truly vivid characters that are interesting and enjoyable to follow. This is the first time I have heard a performance from Ms. Ortese. She did a good job with the wide cast of characters. This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Librarian's know Best
The Librarian's Horny Assistant, Book 1 by Pornelope and narrated by Chloe West is a funny short story audiobook of the erotic genre. The publisher’s summary is surprisingly accurate about the storyline. The story is well-written erotica with fun characters in a good setting that has the listener using their imagination to follow this Librarian and the student assistant who is enjoying himself in the restricted section. This is the first performance I have heard from Chloe West but she does a great job narrating this short production and I plan on looking up more of her work based on this performance. I recommend this audiobook if this is a genre you enjoy. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
Great Second Book in The Trilogy!
Soldiers of Salem: Children of Wrath, Book 2 by T. A. Ward and narrated by Desmond Manny is a very enjoyable second book in the Children of Wrath Trilogy. The author starts the story twelve years after the events of the first book. This world is a dark and bleak place for Inexorables and the Citizens of the country. The main character is A.K. he is pushed into joining a revolution to change things after the Day of Wrath. His mother and sister depend on him to be the man his father would have wanted him to become due to his sacrifice to cure A.K. and the price his family paid for that action. A.K. has plans and dreams of his own after joining the citadel. The inexorable nightclub he visits leads him in a direction that is often in opposition to the cause. He just wants what most people want; to love and be loved and to chose his own path. This is an exciting and action filled audiobook.
The narration by Desmond Manny is enjoyable and adds to the story of how the characters each are voiced. The production quality of the audiobook is excellent the performance is crisp and clear from beginning to end. I really enjoyed this audiobook and highly recommend it. One Womans Journey of Discovery
Shift Happens: Breakdowns During Life's Long Hauls by Margot Genger and narrated by Randye Kaye is a very frank and compelling look at one woman’s life, choices, and coping skills in dealing with her mental health and addictions. Set in 1979 the United States is a different world from 2018. Ms. Genger takes charge of her life by deciding to become a long-haul truck driver to write her masterpiece bestseller. The job of long-haul trucking is not for the faint of heart. The hours and the isolation are balanced by the beauty of this great country from the mountains, grain fields Midwest, to the concrete jungle of the cities.
The story holds your attention with the author’s vivid and accurate description of the world of long-haul team trucking. The agony of a bad partner to the joy of a good partner where everything flows seamlessly. The deadheading for loads, the life of living in truck stops to sharing a sleeper cab with another individual is true to the lifestyle. The people she meets and experiences she has across the country in 1979 show the world that was America, Warts and all. She learns what matters and is needed to define home for her.
The Narration by Randye Kaye is a perfect match to the story the author is telling. This is the first performance that I have listened to by the narrator by I enjoyed the narration. She brought life to this great story and added layers to the characters through her performance. The production value of the audiobook is of excellent quality, the performance is clear and sharp throughout the entire performance.
I really enjoyed this audiobook and highly recommend it. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
