Very poor narrator, slow story

The narrator was extremely annoying and dragged down an already slow, predictable story. Her voice was monotone, with no emotion. She spoke slowly and over pronounced every word.

Superficial characters, minimal story, to much sex!

It is so superficial on all levels. The characters are shallow. The story is minimal. Sex is constant, detailed and Olympic. Give it a miss.

Terrible narration!

What would have made Aunt Dimity and the Lost Prince better?

A different narrator. It was painful to listen to - halting over annunciation of every word, appalling NZ accent. I only lasted 3 chapters!

Would you ever listen to anything by Nancy Atherton again?

With a different narrator - yes.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Shocking - halting, each word painfully emphasized, terrible attempt at a NZ accent.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I couldn't get past the narrator.

Any additional comments?

I really wanted to listen to this author but all her books have the same narrator. How did she get the job - not just once, but over and over!

What disappointed you about My Name Is Will?

It was an pathetic excuse to write about sex. The outline had such potential, but in reallity it was like a novel wriiten by a spotty adolescent. The discriptions of explicit sex and drug taking gets very boring, and is very one dimensional. The characters were also flat and not engaging. I couldn't make myself finish it. Self indulgent, and pathetic.

I wasted my money and my time.

Would you ever listen to anything by Jess Winfield again?

NO

How could the performance have been better?

A different book, by a different author.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from My Name Is Will?

All of it!
