Amazing Journey

Easily one of the best books I’ve ever read. If you were alive in 1968, just be prepared I will ask you if remember where you were Christmas Day. And then I will recommend that you must read this book. Brilliant in so many ways. Chills, tears, smiles, and pride to be felt throughout.

Outstanding

One of the most fascinating books I’ve ever read. Definitely a lot of self reflection takes place while listening to this. The language used in the book is very harsh but certainly understandable. I highly recommend people read this book. It will force you to take a look at how you react to other people and different socio economic situations.

Fascinating

Thoroughly enjoyed this amazing story. Very well written. Reader is brutally slow. Listen at 2x easily. Slow to 1x when he is quoting Knight and I wonder if that's really how slow he talked. Really loved the book.

Worst of the killing series

Was really excited about this book because of how great the other books in this series have been. This was by far the worst of any of the killing series books. If you're interested in this era I would read different books. My favorite from this time period is still Valley Forge.

Excellent Book

Fascinating. Mark Hitchcock does an outstanding job making this prophecy very understandable. The Q&A at the very end is great too. Highly recommended.

Good book but terribly tough listen

This is a great detail of the first part of the war. But this an incredibly difficult listen if you really want to understand the what and where. There are so many names, flanks, towns, and fronts, I kept wishing I had a map in front of me and an org chart of commands. Really could have studied maps in detail while listening and enjoyed it much more.

Good. Negative view of intelligent design, a creator, and Christianity

I enjoyed this book and the telling of the story. From an adventure perspective it was great. My biggest problem with this book is that the author worked very hard to emphasize over and over evolution, chance of nature, and millions upon millions of years to explain it. The complexity of wildlife, plants, geology clearly point to intelligent design. Instead of ever even mentioning or acknowledging creation or a creator, the author goes out of the way to describe in a negative way missionaries and Christians. I know folks will not read this as a Christian book, and the things said in it would be exactly what is taught at the Smithsonian, history museums, and high school and college campuses today. So my review is simply to say as a Christian who believes in intelligent design and a literal interpretation of the Bible, this book will many times contradict that. I still enjoyed the book. and the story. Those would be my only criticisms.

Amazing

Loved it. The ending is so good. Definitely listen at 1.5x or 2x speed. Reader is way too slow.

So much to learn from history. This book was fantastic taking us through the what, who, and why of the war. Highly recommended. Easy listen at 2x speed.
