Captivating Memoir!

An absolutely captivating tale of an extraordinary life. Frank Deford in his own words and voice letting us in on a sportswriter's life. Proud to have known Frank, it is great to hear his voice telling these events still .... even now after his passing. I highly recommend.

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!

There is very little more that can be said for this book --- but the AUDIO is nothing short of amazing as it is a true listen to baseball history from the men who played it at the time it morphed into the American pastime. Christy Mathewson, Ty Cobb, Honus Wagner and more come to life in the words and voices of the men who knew and played with them. Should be required for any history class .... not just baseball. An utterly fascinating listen!

A terrific Elvis Cole novel!

I had missed the witty repartee of Elvis Cole and this book brings him back with all of his smart and colorful flair. Like Daniel's does a terrific job with the narration and mixing in some fun character voices. For fans of Cole this will not disappoint.

Phenomenal Teaching Seminar!

What an enlightening and empowering learning experience this audio seminar is for any teacher or leader. Dr. Ed Frierson has a special way of communicating with those around him and it was an absolute Delight to listen to this seminar and imagine myself being in the room with the other teachers. I highly recommend this out of the box look at creating a classroom environment for anyone related to schools or working with children or being in charge of groups of people of any kind. It is a positive message with some wonderful ideas. :-)

not as awesome as I was led to believe

this was a good book and interesting and the performance of the audiobook was excellent. But after seeing all the reviews I was led to believe that this would be an epic classic for the ages. It was just an interesting story with a lot of Gore and graphic violence. It was interesting and threw me back to a time that I didn't know much about and a place. But as for being a classic? Not so much. I found it long and tedious in parts but well written and as I said before very well performed.

Thank you, Mr. Vice President

Thank you, Joe. Sharing your pain helps us all with our own. I feel like I know you. Your book makes me wish I knew your wife and kids as well. You are a terrific father. You did well in bringing up your daughter and boys. Jill and they and we are lucky to have had you in our lives.

Well written and we'll read!

Keith Olbermann is spot on in these commentaries on the Trump campaign and first months of that presidency --- highly opinionated yet 100% factually accurate, entertaining and disturbing at the same time. A must listen for anyone who cares about the United States.

Perfectly Flawed!

mrs. Clinton gives a really heartfelt and compassionate account of what went right and wrong with the campaign in 2016. She recognizes her own flaws but comes out as a ringing Voice of Truth. It is not bitter. It is not sad. It is an inspiration. It is only a shame that she is not our president now.

not goods audiobook

I applaud the vice president for his continued dedication to the environment. This book as you listen to it -- appears that it would be a wonderful handbook in printed form. The information is good and the attempt to be inspiring is commendable. But as an audiobook it just falls short and really should be a free and enthusiastically shared podcast. As an audiobook the entertainment factor is not very good and it's not the type of thing that is informational on your drive through traffic. That said I again commend the vice president for his dedication to this subject and hope that others may buy the printed version of this book and be inspired to bring the subject to light on a global scale. I'm just sorry as an audiobook it fell short for me. Would be fantastic podcast however. Vice president Gore should share this as an audio for free in other formats. It would be very effective.

Spending a week with Coach!

This book is a trip down memory lane and you will feel as if you lived a camp week with John Wooden. Great wisdom from Coach Wooden peppered throughout and the bonus features alone are worth the purchase. You will feel as if you really know the man and Greg Hayes shares these memories beautifully. Great book. Great preservation of history --- and Coach Wooden's legacy!
