Low rating because of Cliffhanger

I wish when the synopsis of a book is written the warning of a cliffhanger is given. I was totally shocked when the reader said "the end." I went what?? No way....sure enough it was the end, with nothing, I mean nothing resolved.
The story premise is interesting, the introduction of our heroines mother's family was brought in to explain her transformation, then they were suddenly dropped, another unresolved issue. The book left me disappointed and frustrated and I feel a total waste of hours listening to have no closure to any of the plots.

Boring....nothing but mating

I am still trying to figure out the point of this book. Yes she got the dragon blood for her brother, and yes she was made pregnant by the dragon shifter, and yes she became his mate.
The protagonist were some dragon hunters.....but there wasn't much there, only one incidence of them because of some silly teenagers on a dare.

That is the whole story. She had the babies, and they lived happily ever after. Don't even know if her brother got healed, and her parents weren't there for the birth of their grandchildren.....missing so much.

Boring!

Couldn't Finish

After all the build up about this book I was totally dismayed by the naivete of the heroine. Past life reincarnation can be done beautifully but this one was told in a mish mash of fractures, never really getting a full picture or a reasonable explanation of cause and effect. I gave up at chapter 16 out of 36. Maybe it got better but I got bored with no clear direction of where the story was headed. The narrator wasn't the best, can you say run on sentences, I was hoping she knew what a period was indicative of, however she ran on, and on.

WTF??? No Ending, not even a cliff hanger.

If you like your books with 90% sex and 10% plot development....(notice I said development) then this book is for you. Nothing but endless sex, from masturbation to BDSM....yeah it has all that under the guise of protecting his lil virgin from some evil men, (a rival MC Club??) to finding a missing mother, and an identical twin who went to find her. This is the gist of the story, do we find the mother.....NO.....do we find the twin....No...the book ends with him, telling her survivalist parents he intends to marry her....the end. And this is the end for me....I will not purchase the next book in this lame series.

Not as Good as 1st Book

I don't know what all the hype is about this book. I think the H was a jerk. He totally had no honor and didn't keep any of his promises to let the heroine return home after she cured his brother. His reasons for keeping her were totally selfish, and he treated her badly. Whenever she would fight back, he would call her deceitful and continue to keep her prisoner, despite the fact he was keeping secrets himself.
The plot was interesting and I can see how it will tie in with the next book in the series, but the H in this one is a lose, lose for me. I didn't find him likeable at all. To be honest, I can't imagine the heroine being in love with him, not after knowing him for all of two days. He was her first lover, I believe she is suffering from Stockholm Syndrome.

Fantastic Writing and Story Telling!

WOW...just let me say it again....WOW!!! I love dragon stories, but this one, is just AWESOME. The characters are so fleshed out and introduced with such an attention to detail that I never once got lost. Each one was unique and their abilities was so well suited to their personalities. The story is slowly built up; had me holding my breath at what was coming and it did not disappoint. You get to see the story from the POV of the characters and the dragons, it is so intricately woven that you don't even realize what is happening.
Of course there is Evil and you even get to see the story from their POV as well, which was very different, normally the Evil is just that mindlessly evil, not this time, its Evil, very Evil and can easily suck you in.
Even though the ending was more than satisfactory, ( the battle) you know there is more to come. I believe this is a trilogy.

Totally worth a credit. I am downloading the second book now!

A Pure Delight!

What a new concept, an Inn for paranormals to stay, during their travels. A sentient Inn which is also considered neutral ground and a sanctuary. So any intergalactic or non intergalactic guest can stay here. The story opens with the death of a 3rd dog in the neighborhood. The deaths are vicious, with the animals being eviscerated. Dina is our heroine and Sean is our reluctant Hero, who is also a former Navy seal and a shifter, and is very ignorant of his world, and Arland a vampire who has the makings of being another love interest for Dina.
The world building is unique, presently the inn only has one guest, and she is quite scary. There is also a back story regarding the Inns and Dina's parents, that I am hoping will be further explored in the next book.
My favorite character though was Dina's dog, a lil shi tzu name Beast! LOL This was a fun, engaging book and with some LOL moments.

Not a Great Female Role Model

I enjoyed the first book in this series. However, Chris and Izzy did not push any buttons for me. Chris was a total jerk to Izzy throughout the entire book. Izzy was a very immature, naive person. Having parents who only tolerated her existence until at age 16 she left home and they didn't bother looking for her. She has lived a very insular existence with her computers as her companions. She is a total genius when it comes to creating programs and hacking into secure systems. Everyone wants her except Chris. She continually has sex with him, he pushes her away, then goes to her for more sex, after all she is his mate.
The book was too long....it dragged in places. Very lil action until the end of the book.

Eh! Could have been better.

The premise of the story is a very good one. However, this story is not very well developed at all. It left a lot of questions and nothing in the new world was explained as to what had happened, there was no mention of a centralized government, or even a local one, just seemed as if there were a lot of cabals with each one with their own laws of governance. I Know there are several stories about the other girls captured but I would suspect it is from their point of view of their new lives. I don't think I will continue with the series, this one was meh!

A Nice Mystery

Although I guessed who was behind the murders, and who wanted the deed, the story was still interesting. A great beginning to a new series. Its nice to have friends, ghost friends that is, Maxie made me laugh out loud. However, poor Paul, serious, down to earth, (what an oxymoron) guy he was, so serious about his profession really captured my heart. This is is one of those stories that you can listen to with your kids in the car.
Amanda Ronconi did a fantastic job narrating the story.
