A Life-Changing Book

Where does When Breath Becomes Air rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This has to be one of the best books that I've ever read. And, the narrators are both fantastic (Sunil narrates the majority of the book with Cassandra narrating the end, which is from Paul's wife). I wept.

What was one of the most memorable moments of When Breath Becomes Air?

Every moment, but especially Paul's diagnosis, meeting Emma (his doctor), Paul's final surgery, and absolutely his final words in the book and the end from his wife.

What does Sunil Malhotra and Cassandra Campbell bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

They just bring the realness of this person to the book. You feel that you are really listening to the actual Paul & his wife narrate the book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I wept. Truly. I was on my grandmother's home hospice team as she passed from cancer and have a very dear friend who was just diagnosed with cancer a few months ago. They were both front of mind for me as I read listened to this book.

Not a fan of the narrator, but it's worth it anyways

I'm really not a fan of the narrator of this. Way too fake sounding with some sort of weird "emotion" and over annunciation's just really weird.

That aside, this is a fantastic resource for understanding how manipulators work and even just being able to identify whether or not someone you are dealing with might be manipulating you. Very illuminating for me.
