Sweet Cowboy Romance!

What's better the a Cowboy Romance? A clean Cowboy romance! I have to admit that when I first started listening I wasn't sure that I was going to like the narrator, but he grew on me quickly and in the end I wouldn't have wanted anyone one else to narrate it. Anyone who likes a clean romance with a modern cowboy theme will enjoy this one.

Lovely Clean Romance

I really enjoyed this romance. The story line was fun and it hooked me pretty quickly... oh the foolish things we do when love enters the scene. I thought Meghan Kelly did a great job in the narration. I would definitely recommend this to those who like clean romance books and like the mail-order bride 1800's theme.

Sweet Mail Order Husband Story

This was a very sweet change up on the Mail-order bride plot. I loved that the author kept it a clean, Christian romance. The story was entertaining and I finished it quickly. The narrator did a lovely job with the acting and story telling. I would recommend this one to those who enjoy a good clean romance set in the 1800's.

Just as much fun as the first 3 books!

I have really enjoyed this series. It a fun mix of mystery and confused romance. This story revolves around two people who lack in communication skills which cause lots of misunderstandings, jealousy, etc. The mix of the two in the story add some extra interest to the plot. The author does a great job with keeping the mystery throughout the story and the story moves fast enough to keep the reader hooked. Machelle Williams does a wonderful job with the narration and makes the story even more enjoyable.

Sixth Sense Victorian Mystery

No spoilers - This one sounded interesting and had my curiosity peeked but it was a bit different from what I had expected. Without giving the story away I felt it was creative and kept me guessing but on the whole the mood of the whole book was a bit too sad without much comic relief or mood lifter. My biggest problem with it was that it just needed a good script edit... "Says" gets way over used and then the accent of the narrator on that particular word drove me a bit crazy. I did enjoy the narrator on the whole and liked the accent and her acting. If you are a mystery and paranormal fan then you will probably find this one entertaining but he mindful that this probably a older teen/young adult level read. There are some heavier topics and it's graphic enough in the description of the deaths I wouldn't let my younger teens listen to it.

Really Interesting Memoir

I learned so much from this book. I don't listen to a lot of memoirs but I love history and this one totally had me in the summary. It was a great book and I would recommend it to anyone who loves history reads. The narrator did a good job.

Fun Story, Great Narration

Even though it started out very sad for the main character it was a fun mystery. It wasn't so intense that I couldn't get stuff done while I listened (I found it a bit predictable) and I did want to finish it quickly. I read a lot of mysteries, so maybe that is why I figured a couple big parts of the story fairly early in and for me it made it a bit frustrating.. Mostly because I was still enjoying it but felt the characters missed a couple of obvious things. I would say I felt it was well written and I loved the thread of the importance of faith and love and that this was a clean read. The narrator did a fantastic job with the acting and the start telling. Overall, I liked the book and would recommend it to anyone who likes the clean mystery genre.

Great Kids Fantasy

I listened to this book with my 3 children (ages 13, 11 and 9 years old). It was great fun and wonderfully narrated. The narrator has a fun accent and did a great job with the voices. This book reminded me of a modern version of the Borrowers, Gulliver's Travels and the 80's tv show The Littles. I could tell the author has experience with brothers and how they fight, play and think. It reminded me and my kids of how my two boys act and treat each other. It has some good lessons and can be listened to by all ages.

Fun Witchy Mystery

This was a really fun cozy mystery with a fun witchy spin. I loved Aunt Pearl as a character, she was definitely the comic relief. I felt their were a few times where there was some missing backstory but overall the story and plot were well written. Being a Harry Potter can I did enjoy the story immensely but wish there had been a bit more magical description. I love that this was a clean mystery free of too much description of any gory details, bad language, violence, or sex scenes. I would recommend to anyone who likes clean mysteries and fantasy books. The narrator did a great job with the acting and was a fun one to listen to!

Great Start to a Fantasy Thriller!

I listened to this book with my children (ages 13, 11 & 9 yrs old) and we all really liked it. They are asking for the next in the series and were disappointed when they found out it's not out yet. No spoilers but it was left in a cliff hanger. This started a little slow and confusing but is a bit to be expected with it being the first in a series and the confusion made us stay interested in the beginning while we were trying to figure it out. I'd compare this to SkyRaiders and the Hunger Games. It was also clean enough that even my 9 year old was ok with it. The narrator did a great job with the acting, voices, and was a pleasure to listen to. I would definitely recommend this one to the fantasy readers. I know we're looking forward to the next one.
