So so

The low rating is do to the narrator mostly. He might do well with other books, just not this one. It sounded like a cartoon.

Too many narrators Mr. Brown

What made the experience of listening to Iron Gold the most enjoyable?

Tim Gerald Reynolds is a master narrator. Reynolds has already developed the voices for these characters in 3 other books. Adding the other narrators takes away from TGR performance and the Red Rising experience. It does not flow effortlessly like the other books and gets confusing. Missed the mark as far as the audible version is concerned.

Again with the narrator

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Female narrator wasn't compatible with this book. The accents weren't consistent. The male voices were terrible. "Jack' sounded like kermit the Frog at times. Couldn't make it through the book. The story was boring. I'm not sure if it was the narrator that made it that way? To be fair, I only made it to chapter 8. So maybe it got better?

Unfortunate

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Not sure. The narrator was unsuitable.

Would you ever listen to anything by Phil Tucker again?

Do the author's take the time to listen to their books before released? How much control do they have over who narrates their books? So to answer the question... Yes, if Phil can have this book re read by any of the following: Peter Kenny, Simon Vance, Alex Wyndham Michael Kramer, Tim Gerard Reynolds,Christian Rodska, Steve West, Derek Perkins, Neil Dickson, James Clamp. ( Just to name a few) For someone constantly on the go, I rely heavily on audiobooks to help get through the day. This book has potential to be a real contender on the Fantasy audiobook list, but I just couldn't make it through the first couple of chapters. Listen, this is an AUDIOBOOK. The narration comes first before anything else. Any of the above narrators can make an encyclopedia sound amazing. I've listened to audiobooks with a shitty story before BUT if the narrator is good, I can at least finish the book.

How could the performance have been better?

The narrator was not compatible with this book.

Any additional comments?

Sometime in the future... I'll read the actual book and give it a rating it deserves.

Can't deal with narrator.

This audible book would of got 5 stars all around, easy... BUT.. I honestly couldn't finish it because the narrator was terrible. With the perfect narrator this book has potential to become part of an awesome audible collection.

WHERE HAS THIS NARRATOR BEEN ALL MY LIFE!!

Have you listened to any of Katherine Kellgren’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

First time with this narrator and she needs an oscar!!

Any additional comments?

Story was great! I listen to audiobooks in my car and let me tell you.. I would be at a red light and feel the stares to my reactions because this narrator was so good. She allowed me to get completely lost in this book! Bravo.

Narrator do over PLEASE?

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

The narrator was absolutely, positively horrible. I cringed through 2 chapters, then I walked away from it. I came back a few days later and desperately, with all my heart, soul & strength tried it again and I just couldn't.
