Not everything lost can’t be found

A story of loss and betrayal and being found and repaired told as only Mia Sheridan can.

Jacob Morgan and Virginia Rose were perfection as these characters, bringing to life this story told in dual narrative.

Forbidden Romance

Single POV told in first person, this story is a forbidden romance about a girl who falls in love with her dad’s best friend and business partner.

They have a history of him being such a great friend to her as she grew up, where her crush began. She makes a grand gesture when she turns 18 that is not taken very kindly which drives her to move away. 7 years later, she is back and emotions have not died.

I love forbidden romances and this one did not disappoint. Kylie Scott’s humor shines bright in this book and I found myself chuckling constantly. The female main character is hilarious and such a unique and quirky girl that just endears you to her so much. The male main character is broody and closed off, the combination of them together is a frequently told story but Kylie’s spin made it one of my favorites.

What I couldn’t understand is why it took place overseas but no one had an accent? How could that be? I don’t understand? While Andi did a great job narrating, I couldn’t get over the missing accent.

Loved it

New author to me, but when I saw Jakobi Diem and I read reviews that said the main character was a hot alpha, I had to purchase and I’m so glad I did.

The story is told in first person, dual POV, just the way I like it. The only time it broke into duet was when there was a rap and Jakobi was awesome! Killed it.

Jo is a divorced mom and Everett “Big South” is a hugely successful rapper that instantly falls for her sass and charm. It’s a whirlwind relationship until he finds out exactly who Jo was married to. From there, both of their exes are nothing but drama that tries to drive them apart.

I loved this story, it was hot and steamy and absolutely enthralling, I had a hard time putting it down to do anything else. The only issue I had was the extremely odd names for body parts that completely ruined some of the sex scenes for me. It would get into it and then “yoni” or “treasure” would be said and my head would shake. Maybe it’s a regional thing but it would make me laugh instead of keep me in the story. Other than that, I was hooked! I can’t wait for more McClain brothers!

Jakobi Diem could read the dictionary and I would listen. His voice is so rough and gritty. I love it, perfect for this character. Adenrele Ojo was MADE to read for Jo. Every line was perfection and I have no idea how she didn’t giggle when reading some of those bizarre lines about “pearls” but she pulled it off perfectly.

Serious perfection

From every character to every scene, from the build up to the climax, this book was darn near perfection. Jordan and her boyfriend, Cole, are down on their luck and move in with Cole’s dad, Pike. Jordan and Cole grow distant while Jordan and Pike grow close. You can only imagine the drama that ensues.

The chemistry between Jordan and Pike, the way their relationship built and the things that they found in each other were so simple but so endearing and man, were they sizzling. I do wish there had been more sex but I lived with it because of the intense chemistry that I felt in my bones.

Andrew and Jennifer were excellent choices for Birthday Girl. I felt they embodies everything that these characters were meant to be and sound like. I never once felt like I was being drawn out of the story because of the narration, it only enhanced it.

So good

Completely unexpected, this book was one that I hadn’t anticipated loving so very much. The humor and emotion, the character connection and development... it was all so perfect. Not to mention the hot guy on guy action, that was so incredibly steamy and well written. I absolutely loved it.

Alexander and Iggy were the perfect narrator choices. I love them in m/m books, their ability to distinguish characters and their tone and timing are spot on.

Somebody hold me

While I had no idea that this is where I would end up and I have no intention of ruining the story in any way for anyone else, I will say that this book is beautifully written in all ways. In book 1 Ren and Della were separated, in this book, they are brought back together and we are the conclusion of their story. Though hard and difficult to listen to in some places, it also was so perfect and so blindingly awesome.

Hayden and Will were perfection. Duet isn’t my favorite choice for narration, but they were flawless. Every transition was seamless. There were complications with the audio when I listened, but I just reverted to the book for the chapters that were missing. I know a lot of people wouldn’t be happy with that, so you may want to check and make sure those issues are solved before you start listening.

Unique and Lovable

I love the idea behind this story. Showing a story behind, not a necessarily a kinky ménage relationship (although there was that), but a real ménage relationship.

I do think there were some plot holes that should have been plugged up, could have gone into the men’s past to give the reader a deeper connection to the characters and should have been a more in depth showing of the parents response after a blatant rejection(you’ll have to listen to understand). I don’t think it was enough to detract from the overall enjoyment of the message of this book. I loved the individual battles they all to face and overcome. I loved the intense attraction and crazy hot sex scenes. Most of all, I loved the narration.

Ava, Jacob and Jason were freaking on fire with their narration. Perfection for these characters. I will definitely be listening to this book again and again.

Slightly taboo, completely entertaining

I enjoyed this taboo audio between a psychologist and his patient. Also lines crossed and colors blurred, the chemistry between the main characters was smoldering and intense. Match this with a thrilling subplot and I was hooked from chapter 1.

Heather Firth was the perfect narrator. She had an excellent voice for both sexes that kept me engrossed in the story.

Not always what they seem

I’ve read this book but the audio takes it up a whole new level. I love Trapper and his dark heart that is filled with so much love. What seems sinister and wrong, Marni has a way of twisting into something that makes you fall in love and fills you with warmth. Not to mention the hot steaminess that Marni is absolutely a queen at writing.

Muffy and Jacob’s reputations proceed them and their performances were no different here. Excellent choices for these characters.

This is a 5 Star story that I will revisit time and time again.

The best

How I even begin to review a book so smart, emotional, intense and yet so incredibly filthy?

Sean Bell’s inner dialogue takes you on a journey through his mind that compels you to rethink your own takes on religion and faith. The topics that are presented and laid out are so intriguing and keeps your mind and your heart working and involved in a way that makes this book impossible to turn off.

But it would be impossible not to mention the incredibly dirty mind that Sierra Simone has. The chemistry between Sean and Zenny was so palpable that you can feel the tension. You can feel the build. This series toys with sin and I don’t know if it’s the authors words or the underlying wrongness, but the dirty, dirty scenes were overwhelming and so body melting that not even a/c can cool the desire during this listen.

The intense love I have for this book is SO DUCKING HARD. LIKE A ROCK HARD. THE LOVE IS HARD PEOPLE. I want to throw my phone against a wall and I want to cradle it against my chest. The feelings are so intense. I can’t take it.

Jacob Morgan is beyond the perfect narrator. He takes over Sean Bell and becomes him, his inflections and tone makes the character come to life. Not to mention his ability to talk dirty so easily. Although Morae Brehon was not in the book so much, her small attributes were perfect.
