3/5 rating. I liked parts of it. Overall: a bit too much melodrama for me.
I'd recommend the book for people who don't mind female characters who faint and go into shock in stressful situations, and who blame themselves for everything.
4/5 rating. As with other books in this series, the author creates characters that are fascinating. The story has more satisfying sub-plots in comparison to the rest of the series. There were scenes to make you cry and scenes to make you laugh out loud.
4/5 rating. This author creates individualistic, interesting characters.
I recommend this book if you can overlook some challenges.
On the positive side, the narration is great and the story is engaging.
The heroine in this case is so self-destructive, it's sometimes painful to listen to.
This book is overly long.
As with other books in the series, the story centres on the family architecture firm. The romance is cookie cutter, but is still engaging within the book, but frustrating as a series. In particular, the melodrama of each woman throwing a fit and dumping her lover (over some ridiculous misunderstanding or fear just to give the book some conflict to resolve) is annoying.
4/5 rating. Great characters. Engaging story. Hot erotica. Love the male narrator. Would recommend.
4/5 rating. This author is talented at creating characters. The story is basic, but still has interesting context (sustainable building; preserving heritage buildings). Sexy times are hot. Love the male narrator!
4/5 rating: This author is great at writing characters with individuality and charm. I liked the story better than other books in the series. The male narrator is great.
3/5 rating: the characters were my favourite part - they were sweet. The plot was interesting but I didn't really connect with it. I didn't care what happened next. The couple was hot together, though.
3/5 rating: overall, the book was okay. I rated it a 3 because most of the book is filler between sex scenes. The story is pretty basic, with woman leaving abusive husband and having an insta-love fling with a better option.
3/5 rating: I really likes parts of it... some funny scenes that were original... but a lot of it felt derivative of other books... love the male narrator
Love JA Huss!
What great narrators!!
The story was engaging, especially the self-help world of the heroine.
