One of the best series I've listened to.

The character development is strong and story line captivating. the reader, Richard Poe makes this easy to listen to and he does a great job with the characters. Never got tired of it for a minute.

Tim Reynolds is why I read this.

Tim Reynolds elevates the author and his story. Check out other books he narrates, some outstanding works.

Not worth the credit nor the time

I picked up this book after reading dozens of fantasy novels (listening rather). I found the writing to be not only dull but elementary in nature. Certainly not an adult novel in my opinion.

I got about 6 hours into the book before returning it and looking for another. The charactors are dull and incredibly typical for a fantasy novel. I found it difficult to care about anyone nor what happened next.

The narrator is not bad but not great. He certainly is no Pete Bradbury nor is he as good as Michael Sullivan or Kramer.

This book lacks a complex and interesting story, good characters, and most importantly in depth adult themes that outline human nature.

Best books I've come accross (which this is NOTHING like):

Name of the Wind
Stormlight Archives
Demon Cycle (Warded Man)
Lies of Locke Lamara
Ryira Revelations (spelling may be incorrect)
Red Rising
Dagger and Coin
Blood Song
Emporers Blades
The faithful and the Fallen (malice)
Mystborn (almost didn't make the list but good)

Wonderful Conclusion to an Amazing Series

Eloquence, Complexity, and Cleverness are great ways to describe these books. Abraham has created a universe unlike any other, made it seem real, relatable and almost tangible. The plot continues in all its excellence and ends very well. I can't say enough about how good The Dagger and The Coin is.

Amazing ending to an epic series

WOW! What else can I even say; once you listen you will understand. This Incredible roller-coaster ride starting with Theft of Swords does not disappoint. This has been among the best series I have ever had the pleasure of reading/listen to. The ending is both magnificent and appropriate for the series. I strongly urge you to listen/read to the prequals The Riyria Chronicles once done with this. Tim Reynolds asl always delivers an immaculate performance.

Contuation of an epic series

As with all the previous books The Rose and The Thorn is again another masterpiece in the universe Sullivan has created. I can't say enough about these books and their value. This second installment of the potential 7 prequels is another amazing story that will tug your heart strings as well as make you laugh out loud. Dark themes and situations plague charectors as well as beautiful and hilarious moments that further develope them and make seem so real. Read it and love it! Another top knotch performance by Reynolds!

Amazing start to an Amazing series

This is the first installment of 7 prequels to The Riyria Revelations and it does not disappoint. Witty humor and eloquent writing capture the imagination and suck you into a bold new universe of fantasy. The charectors are relatable, hilarious, and developed beautifully. Tim Reynolds knocks it out of the park as always with his performance. MUST READ!

Amazing series and an amazing 3rd installment

How to begin? I was captivated from the moment I started Red Rising and the ride didn't end until completing this 3rd novel. I can't say enough about how amazing Reynolds is at narrating; I've listened to many books narrated by him, all of which were done exquisitely. The charactors and plot twists were complex and entertaining. Must Read.
