Slowest story with a fantastic narrator

I went into this book knowing it was going to be long but hoping it was long because it was going to be amazing. unfortunately I wasn't sympathetic to any of the characters thoughts seem to drag on until the last 10%. The narrator was awesome so I don't bereft her for anything

Just not my type of book

This was technically a reread for me from the original arc that was rewritten. unfortunately the differences between the two weren't very obvious. This had potential but just seemed to drag on.

the first 60% was very slow

the first 60% was pretty slow but then it picked up which made the book quite enjoyable because there's no half star ratings I'm giving it a 4 but in reality it's really a three and a half. the narrator was fantastic I love some of her other work as well and I will be continuing the series because I'm hoping Book 2 picks up where they left off and it's not as drawn out

An orphan girl wandering into the city of sin

I am giving this a 3.5 out of 5 stars. The narrator add to death to the story as well as to the characters. I do think there was some parts that were lacking hence the lower rating. however I did enjoy it enough to want to pick up book to more than likely on audio when it comes out next year

Enjoyable and fast read

stunning narration. fast paced story that hits on subjects that are relevant today even if the book is set post civil war.

captivating story with amazing narrator

at first I was a little hesitant in this story. But as the story progressed I found myself wanting to listen more and more. I am excited to see if there will be another book although I'm happy with how it ended.

A twist of tales

At first I was a bit convinced with would read like an Alice in Wonderland story. However there were plenty more twists. Some of the bigger plot was predictable but I enjoyed it just the same.
