best book on codependent relationships
I don't usually highlight much, but I wanted to highlight the entire book! I read almost every other page several times over as I went. Extremely helpful and informative. Second to this, would be "Mr Unavailable and the Fallback Girl"
knowledgeable, short, simple , and practical
I found this book to be a great short read... knowledgeable, simple , useful and practical
Simple, easy, quick... yet life-changing!
If I could choose only one self-help book (and I've read over 40) in my entire lifetime, this would be it!
Paradigm shift that will prevent divorce
This book shifted a few paradigms for me. It had a lot of practical advice and made me see things differently. It was also very inspiring and motivational. It often made me smile with hope. I can't imagine a couple getting divorced after reading AND applying this.
simple yet insightful
Simple yet insightful... short and to the point while sometimes funny. I would definitely recommend.
No real HOW, monotone voice
The book talks about the issues with caring about what others think but offers no real strategies as to HOW to stop. Given that HOW is in the title, I was significantly disappointed. Also, the reader is pretty monotone and boring to listen to, even at 1.5 speed. At least it was a super quick read, so not a huge amount of time wasted.

Funny, practical, helpful, insightful & comforting
Any book that can make you laugh when you are at the lowest point of your life is more than worth the time. The fact that it's also extremely motivational and helpful, makes this book THE breakup book. I HIGHLY recommend the audible version because the voice acting is superb and REALLY adds to the humor.

helpful AND brief
Few books give as much help and insight as this one. Even books five times it's size haven't reached me as much as this book did. I think it's because truth resonates within us. I love that he was able to be so succinct and to the point.

Short and sweet + practical
I absolutely agree that the feminist movement has made it so that we can now CHOOSE to surrender, which makes it much more meaningful.

it's practical, but I wish it also taught how to identify when a thought is obsessive
