You have got to be kidding me....

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Someone that likes long, boring fictional litigation....

Has Write to Die turned you off from other books in this genre?

Yes.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

The narrator was good, the story line was pathetic.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

No

Any additional comments?

This book never developed at all. I kept waiting for it to get better, it never did. So much detail about nothing. Nothing at all. I can't believe it got published. All the wonderful books that never make it and this junk gets published.

Nice criminal law book.

Easy to listen to. Very educational about the injustice of our criminal system. Good story to tie into the fight for justice. Really made me think about things in a different way.

Goodness, gore, graphic, and lots of profanity!!

What did you love best about Sworn to Silence?

I did not love anything about this book. I liked it, but I did like the plot, but was sickened by the details, and twisted motives in this story. Linda Castillo must be pretty twisted herself to come up with this stuff. Less gore and more story and I would have enjoyed this book. I am just not into every little twisted detail.

Would you be willing to try another book from Linda Castillo? Why or why not?

The profanity and gore are a turn off. I don't think I will move on to book two for those two reasons.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

It's been done....an amish murder...lifetime movie network..

Any additional comments?

I liked it, but would like to have read a censored version....I guess I'm a wimp...

Very different story in this book.

Would you try another book from Peter Swanson and/or the narrators?

I like the main narrator, and will look into other books of hers.

Would you recommend The Kind Worth Killing to your friends? Why or why not?

No, it really isn't the type of story I like.

What aspect of the narrators’s performance would you have changed?

Good insight to sociopathic mindset. Good twists and turns.

Any additional comments?

I never would have listened to this book if I had known what it was like. That being said, it is very well written. No spoilers, just not my type of story.

Nice addition to this series.

What made the experience of listening to Charm City the most enjoyable?

I enjoyed the introduction of a dog.

Any additional comments?

This is a good book, but it did take me a bit to really get into it. Once it was past the second chapter I enjoyed it.

My second book for Heyer. About a C average.

Would you try another book from Georgette Heyer and/or Richard Armitage?

I like Mr. Armitage, even though he seems to have a speech impediment, and will listen to another book his narrates. He delivered a great performance. I don't know if I will listen, though, if it is a book by miss Heyer. I am not a fan so far of her work. It seems much of the story that she writes doesn't really move the plot along. Something is missing in her writing.

Could you see Sylvester being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

No. Maybe a Hallmark Movie cheesy movie.

Any additional comments?

Just cheesy and predictable.

Different and enjoyable.

What did you love best about Dust and Shadow?

It moved quickly, but had a lot of detail. Not too narrative. Felt like an original Sherlock.

Any additional comments?

Fun historical mystery.

Fluff. Pure and simple fluff.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I would not recommend this book for anything other than passing the time. I am not big at universal cosmic play in our lives. Things just don't work out that way. This book moves slowly with too much smooth transitions in the characters lives. I'm not saying God can't do wonderful things, but nothing lines up like the sequences line up in this book.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Bored by the end, just ready for it to be over.

Have you listened to any of Dan John Miller’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

The narrator was good. His female voices are a bit week, but he narrates well.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

No.

Any additional comments?

If you like dogs and easy going reads this book is for you. I felt it could have been fine in half the time. Predictable.

Delightfully different story!! Unusual and moving!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This book is so different from what I usually read. I enjoyed every minute of it. I couldn't figure out the character of Thomas in this book, but I just loved it anyway. Was he real, or in her mind? It doesn't matter to me because it was moving either way.

What did you like best about this story?

I actually like Thomas the best. This surprises me, but he makes the story so unique.

What does Lucy Price-Lewis bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She does a great job at stammering. Her voices are enjoyable and not irritating.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, but I don't like spoilers so I'll leave it at that.

Any additional comments?

I love rooting for the underdog, and the girl in this book is one without a doubt. Is this book believable, no, but it sure is enjoyable. A couple of uses of bad language are the only thing I didn't care for, but that is in two places, so it's not too bad. This was a deal of the day, and I love that I bought it.

Wonderful deal of the day!!! Enjoyable read!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this to anyone. Other reviewers poke fun at the way the autistic boy is written in this story. How shallow. Each autisitc child verbalizes in a different way. What an odd thing to pick at. This book is fast paced and fun to listen to. The main character did some dumb stuff without forethought, but that's part of life.

What did you like best about this story?

The mystery. I like the way it unfolded. It's not completely believable, but it was enjoyable.

What does Zach Villa bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I liked his voice. He made the character come to life.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I always have empathy for kids with parents like his. It saddens me to read about people who use their children.

Any additional comments?

I didn't expect much out of this, but enjoyed it very much.
