I discovered John Ellsworth about a week ago. As prolific as he clearly is, I am running out of material, fast! I have given up sleep in favor of reading and listening to his audiobooks. I haven't been this hooked in a while.

EXCELLENT Addition to the Michael Gresham series...
Oh my, this is book is one that evokes some very strong feelings. It is very reminiscent of John Grisham's "The Rainmaker". In this book John Ellsworth's protagonist Michael Gresham is representing a bank robber, Carlos.
Carlos has an 8 year old daughter who will die with out the proper health care. The insurance company has decided not to pay the claim. Why? Because the daughter uses her middle name not her first and when the original papers were filled out the mother put only the name she uses - not her first name. Although this is not a law that the name on an insurance application has to completely match an individual's full legal name the adjuster chose to deny all claims anyway because this is a matter of tradition. Carlos did what any good parent would do, he robbed banks.
This book has some great courtroom scenes with a few unexpected twists towards the end.
This is part of The Michael Gresham series, I think book #5, but these books do not need to be read in order as each book although part of a series is a complete stand alone.
Stephen Hoye does a fantastic job narrating.

Unlikely but not impossible!!
Carlos the Ant, novel #4 in the John Gresham series, is a definite winner. The publisher's summary gives just the correct amount of information without ruining the plot. This book is author John Ellsworth at his best. Carlos the Ant is a fun at times and sad at others as the novel plays with the listener's emotions. For fans of courtroom action there is a lot. Twists and turns are abundant. Highly recommended!!
