It's just about okay and I'll probably get the last in the series for completeness.

Loved the story. The recording has a few missing sections/skips and annoying fanfares which broke up some dramatic scenes. Worth a listen, but part of me regrets not buying it in book form instead.

good reader, good story but whoever edited the book put it lots of bad connection thud sounds (about 45 a minute (I counted) this is much more common is some chapter s than other (one had 12 thumps in 8 seconds) other don't have any for an entire chapter ( and no it's not my device it's the recording I checked on different devices and the thuds are in the same places). also the cutting of recording is really badly done (between one recording session and the next. (timings off, volume, quality of sound is different and finally those really really anoying horns randomly throughout the book. (but only at some chapter boundaries)
now these issue have appeared in previous books of this series but this one has been particularly bad.
sort it out audible
so good book, excellent reader, terrible editing
Ok, ok...the author develops good pace as he intertwines several story lines. I can't speak for the characters but I'm suffering from PTSD brought on by sympathy and concern for them. Like I said. Good book. Buy it. Now.
I found the narration to be excellent as with her previous books in this series.
The sound editing and fanfares are atrocious. Kate does a good job but doesn't know how to pronounce legionnaire.
