I agree with the book's message, but the emptiness in this story is ridiculous. "I pushed my hotel keycard into the slot, heard a click, pushed the door open and stepped into my room. it was nice."
I stopped listening with about an hour and forty minutes remaining. I found the title interesting but the story didn't seem to have any substance. We follow the lead character as he goes through new hire orientation, visits family, gets to know a couple coworkers.. 3 hours in, I wondered what the point of the book is beyond following this character around as he learns the ropes at a new job. The situations he finds himself in are not particularly interesting.
