Captivating and Beautiful.

What made the experience of listening to Toccata Obbligato - Serenading Kyra (Out of the Box) the most enjoyable?

The way Zachary Liebenstein brought the characters to life.
His portrayal of each character throughout this story is simply amazing.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the fact that it comes across like a real possibility. The realism of how the relationship between Todd and Kyra developed. It was tested over and over again, like real life, with real drama.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Todd sings "Fairytale Man" to Kyra..... this was so emotional on so many levels because it was born from a need to heal, a need to be forgiven and most of all, the need to love and be loved.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I teared up during the entire scene at grandma's house when Todd found her ring, the picture, and how he heard her words.
When Kyra arrived and Todd got down on one knee, I was just as happy as Kyra. And, yes, I shed a few tears too!

Any additional comments?

This is a quick listen, but don't let that fool you. There is so much going on constantly, it's a true emotional and soul deep experience.

Wow, it's even better in audio

OMG! He actually sings her his love song in this audio!

I had already read the book previously, but this was a thousand times better and NO eyestrain! I love this story of mismatched lovers. The language is a bit shocking at first, but he's a rocker.
Fortunately, the more time he spends with his new girlfriend, the tamer he becomes. But nothing is easy between the unlikely couple.

Loved it!

Rockstar and the Innocent

“I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher"

We have a rockstar who is getting tired of the one night stands, not that that stops him. Lonely and feels abandoned and so he abandons first. In a case of insta love he meets Kyra, a girl finishing up her masters who comes from a wealthy family and really doesn't know who he is.
They meet in a coffee shop and unlike all other girls he has to talk her into going out with him
Obstacles raise, he really is a nice guy and she is stronger than she appears.
The narrator was good sometimes felt he dragged a little bit or just not as much emotion as I may have expected but I like that much better than over the top narration. I would gladly listen to him.
Worth a listen, not the best rockstar story but I always appreciate when the rockstar is a man whore after he met his one true love!

You need this audio, this book & we all need Todd

This was my first time with an audio and all I can say is if all audios are like Jennifer's it won't be my last. The narrator Zach portrayed Todd with such realism. I felt like I was listening to the retelling of a story over coffee with an old friend. Mark's song added an extra bonus I never expected and showed me what makes audios so unique compared to traditional book.

In regards to the book and Jennifer's telling of the story, I can't recommend this book enough. I haven't read the Out of the Box series, but since hearing some of the inner monologue of Todd I definitely will be now. There are so many missing details that I'm certain the series reveals. All in all I believe this book is the perfect accompaniment to the series.

I recommend this audio, this book, and the whole series to one and all. I also encourage everyone to get audio books a try. You won't be disappointed in any way.

Even better than the print version - which I loved

Would you consider the audio edition of Toccata Obbligato - Serenading Kyra (Out of the Box) to be better than the print version?

Zachary Liebesstein not only brings Todd O'Malley to life, he gives him new dimensions.

What did you like best about this story?

Bonus!!! The fabulous song Todd writes, Fairytale Man, is incorporated into the audiobook! It’s a can’t miss attraction!!!

What about Zachary Liebenstein’s performance did you like?

He has a strong range that really sucks me in. If Todd were not read right, he could come off as nothing but a creep. Instead, Liebenstein brings out dimensions of Todd that could easily get lost in the translation.

Any additional comments?

I thoroughly enjoyed this stand-alone novella from the Out of the Box series. We get just enough Todd to satisfy the desires we all had for more. Todd sucks you into his mind, and heaven help you, he is exactly like you expected. This was a great treat.
