Be warned - my three year old is obsessed with this book and so I have listened to chunks of it so much every evening as her bedtime story that I can now recite it verbatim. I have gone through liking it, enjoying it, hating it with fiery passion of a thousand suns to thinking critically about the narrative structure and differences between the film and novelisation, role of the monarchy, nurture vs nature, capital punishment in children's media, to just accepting that Tangled after six months of continuous listening is the soundtrack of my daughter's toddlerhood.
I don't know any longer if it's good. I think it is. I've certainly gotten my money's worth for the sheer number of replays.

This is the second audiobook I have purchased for my daughters, 3, 6, and 8. We listen in the car together to and from school/dance. The first audiobook we tried was Frozen. While Frozen was pleasant, Tangled was even better. The story did not adhere quite so slavishly to the movie script as Frozen, with additional exposition and commentary on the character's internal thinking which I thought made the story more accessible to younger kids and also slightly new and interesting even for an adult who knows the movie well. I really enjoyed the performance, although it took me a little while to warm up to Flynn. I loved even Flynn by the end. A few different times the girls asked to keep listening to the story even after we arrived home, which surprised me because they are only somewhat enthusiastic readers/listeners. Great audiobook.

I bought this for my daughters to listen to during a trip out-of-state to visit family. They usually sit in the backseat and watch movies, which is fine with me if it keeps the peace during the drive. Though, I have some guilt about letting them have a four hour television marathon and thought that listening to the novelization of one of their favorite Disney movies would be more intellectually stimulating. I wasn't disappointed. The book just follows the script almost word-for-word--no surprises. The only thing the kids complained about was the lack of a soundtrack. It wouldn't hurt Disney to insert a few of the movie's best songs where appropriate in the audiobook--I think it would make these more popular. Despite that small complaint, this was much better than the kids just watching the movie in the backseat--I feel like they accomplished something resembling intellectual-stimulation instead of just vegetating during the trip.

good rendition of the movie. it was actually pretty cool to listen to a book that follows a movie beat my beat.
this is a good book. to listen to. i t is funny and adventures. await you.
Renee Raudman did a good job with this audio book. But this is a perfect audio book for a full cast recording. If you saw the animated move then this will be a let down.
