Want to know what bad Editing is - Get this book

What disappointed you about Full Assault Mode?

Seems like the author decided not to use an editor for this book. Or, perhaps, he chose to use one who was not an English speaker. Not once, not twice, but THREE times, he referred to a described "sucking chest wound" as a "sunken chest wound." It really seems odd that a former operator would make such an error. The story often jumped abruptly from an action scene to "a couple of days later at headquarters..." More importantly the story just frequently seems very awkward. I swear that it reads more like a first or second draft than a finished piece.

Has Full Assault Mode turned you off from other books in this genre?

Nope.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Ari Fliakos?

Sure. He's not at George Guidall's level, but Mr. Fliakos does a solid job here.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Confusion. The first two books did not suffer from the terrible editing that this one did. Another person commented that Fury did not write this book. If he did write the first two, I would agree. The writing style seems very off from the first two books. (By the way, I would cheerfully recommend either of the first books in this series.)

Any additional comments?

I sure hope that the next book being released in a few days is substantially better produced than this one.

Liked the 1st 2 a whole lot more!

What did you like best about Full Assault Mode? What did you like least?

I liked that Kolt is not dead...LOL...This was only a shadow of his first two books...way to much redundancy. I mean how many times do we have to hear about why Kolt is doing this, and what he did before and how for the 3rd time he his saving thousands of people maybe millions...or maybe the whole frickin' world. I know its a novel...but come on now, lets keep it somewhat real!

Has Full Assault Mode turned you off from other books in this genre?

Still a good listen but 1/2 way thru I was was ready to abandon the novel.

Which scene was your favorite?

There is way too much going on to pick one!

Was Full Assault Mode worth the listening time?

No.

Any additional comments?

It does seem that all franchise authors hit the wall at one of there books. I think this was it for Dalton Fury. I bet the next one will be as good as the first 2.

Not as good as the first 2

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The story really jumps around. There were several times in during the book that I thought I may have missed a chapter or something. The scenes jump from one location to another and he doesnt explain how the character got out a certain situation.

Would you be willing to try another book from Dalton Fury? Why or why not?

Yes. I like the narrator and author. This book just wasn't as good as the first 2.

Which character – as performed by Ari Fliakos – was your favorite?

Kolt

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

maybe

This book is nothing like the first two ....

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I loved the first two books in this series. In fact, they may be my favorites in this genre. This installment, unfortunately, was poorly edited. It is filled with long, circular streams of thought, bizarre time lapses that constantly had me wondering if a day or a month had passed within the story, and over-the-top plot twists that felt more at home in a cartoon.

Has Full Assault Mode turned you off from other books in this genre?

Not at all. I chalk this up to poor editing.

Which scene was your favorite?

The entire book had me mildly perplexed ... as if I'd missed a chapter or five. I honestly didn't enjoy any of the scenes.

What character would you cut from Full Assault Mode?

See above.

Any additional comments?

At the risk of repetition, I love the first two installments. Assuming the author hires the original editor, I'll chalk this one up to a "miss" and look forward to Kolt's next adventure.

Disappointed

Would you try another book from Dalton Fury and/or Ari Fliakos?

I might. The reader was good, but I did not like the way the book jumped around.

What was most disappointing about Dalton Fury’s story?

I really liked Dalton Fury's first 2 books, but was disappointed with this one. The book jumps around too much. The main charactor is in the middle of an enemy camp in Afgahnistan at the end of one chapter (Cliff Hanger) and the beginning of the next chapter, it is 2 weeks later and he is at Fort Bragg with only a flashback glimps of how he got out of Afgahnistan.

Storyline did not make any sense

Liked the first two in a series, but this story did not make any sence, specially the second half.
Seemed like it was written by somebody else.
