Effective?

I already practice lucid dreaming with the aid of another self hypnosis audio book and this purchase was just to experiment with the astral projection theory. His voice is soothing and has a nice mellow tone. Relaxation sets in quickly and following the instructions you do definitely drift into an altered state. I have not done the recommended 21 days of constant listening yet so I am not qualified to comment on the effectiveness of the programme in acheiving an out of body experience.

I would recommend this for listening though just to have the experience of very deep relaxation.

One experience so far

What did you like best about Astral Projection? What did you like least?

I had this audio for a while now and have been holding off this review as you are asked to listen for 21 days straight to allow the changes to occur. Now listened well over 21 times and found quite often I fail to get into the relaxed state necessary to 'astral project'.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Erick Browns hypnosis audios follow a similar format, described in the summary. This one repeats almost identical sessions about 4 or 5 times during the 4 hours of running. Instructions cease once in the relaxed state, replace by sounds of the sea and what Erick must think are music/sounds of outer space. You are left to your journey with the rules of OBE travel, white light protection and reassurances not to be afraid of feeling astral breeze etc.Quite often I am still wide awake by cycle 3 or 4 and the noises are bothersome.

What three words best describe Erick Brown Hypnosis’s performance?

Repetitive, sleep disrupting.

Once had the very real feeling of rising up slowly and floating across the room. Fantastic. Unfortunately, was aware of the programme running even though asleep. This awareness disturbed the dream which is most likely what the experience was, Didn't wake, but felt my self lowering vertically on the other side of the room. Then I was looking at the the image of myself that had floated. From about 4 feet away, I appeared to in a deep sleep. Body upright, hence in a cramped position and about 6 inches to a foot above the floor. That would make 2 spirits wouldn't it.

Did Astral Projection inspire you to do anything?

Continue listening in case the sensation happens again. Dream or not it was really good. Maybe not the best subject for hypnosis, as my logical thought pervade sleep.

Any additional comments?

It is recommended that if listening at night time, to put the recording on loop and listen all night. Problem is that during intervals between sessions it gives instructions to 'return to your body' and wakes you up. For this reason, not a good sleep aid for insomniacs.
