Excellent book!

Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed this book. I love NYC based stories and this one really portrayed the reality of the 80's in the LES. Great narration as well.

New York City the way it was.

If you grow up in NYC in the 80's this book is for you. Having been friends with people in the lower letters - theses two cops were well known back in the day, what ever side you were on. Excellent story.

Typical arrogant idiot cop BS....

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

He spends the first chunk of the book bragging about crimes he committed and idolizing mob guys then the next part of the book showing no sympathy to the drug addicts and low level drug workers he, for the most part, illegally arrests. This was 9 plus hours of this guy telling us how tough and cool he was with a few interesting stories sprinkled in.If you want to discover why police lose the respect of honest citizens in the inner city by acting like cowboys then give this a listen.Or if you just enjoy hyperbole, exaggeration and self aggrandizing then this too is for you!!
