This is a great book that goes into more detail than the movie Casino does. It also corrects a few mistakes the movie has at the end, and gives another view on who might have bombed the car Lefty. It was the first audio book I listened to in full. It was great.

A good listen for fans of the film and genre.
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would recommend it if I know the friend to be a fan of Goodfellas, Casino, Pileggi, and that era of mafia stories. It is not for everyone.
What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?
That money doesn't mean everything. If money was the only want, then more than one of the main characters would have kept their head down and made a fortune. No, they wanted notoriety too. And in many cases, that cost them.
What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The voice, the emphasis of the story.
What’s the most interesting tidbit you’ve picked up from this book?
That even with the mafia, gaming commission, and everyone else breathing down his neck, the main character could not lay low.
