Sherill Turner is from Romford, Essex. She is a performer and filmmaker and and has done pretty much every part-time job you can think of! Her various vocations helped to inspire her debut novel, Him Downstairs, which she wrote to make her friends laugh. Sherill has started work on Her Downstairs, the follow up novel to Him Downstairs. Her Downstairs follows Becs Hadley as she discovers she has fibroids and ends up undergoing a hysterectomy – all with the support of her two best friends, Lucy and Caz. The subject matter is very close to Sherill's heart as she had a myomectomy in 2018 to remove a 1kg fibroid from her uterus. She affectionately nicknamed the fibroid "Bruce Lee", on account of him being feisty! Her Downstairs can first be seen as a solo theatre show.
